It is a shame for these owners who sell THE castle of their ancestors ! Sometimes their life is not easy (with no good heat engine in winter...). These owners often needs help in terms of money . So, if someone or some associations can help them, it is a good thing and everybody is happy !
They are the proof of the richness of France's history, but in the same time it appears like a "little problem" to save and secure each of them because they are very numerous ;

A lots of them are in the same family for hundred or several hundred years . But, because it needs very much money to keep pretty, clean and to take care of the castle ( furnitures, walls, roof- very expansive !- , electricity for not beeing cold in winter, library- with very old books too wet sometimes, which can be soon desagregated ... ), and the gardens, and because of the taxes upon these kind o"f buildings", many owners must sell their castles , even if they don't want it....
