  • So thrilled to hear this. I had weekly lessons from Anna Maria Gugliemetti at the Geneva Conservatoire in 1956/7.

  • I found a reference to her death date as 1982. I have a 2-LP set of her operatic and song recordings (Columbia electrics) that was issued probably in the 1970s by O.A.S.I. (OASI #636).

  • @clivsoph Thank you for this informative comment. Much appreciated.

  • About how much would a car like that cost? I don't mean to be nosy, i just want to know if there will ever be any hope of me getting one.

  • @Mr1920s - I have no idea of its value. I paid $300 for it in 1960 for use as a 2nd car for emergencies. It had 12,400 miles on it when purchased. It now has 34,000. As this 1930 Ford cabriolet has never been restored, its value might be something over 10 thousand.

  • @Mr1920s This is a fairly rare version of the Ford Model A--a 1930 Convertible (NOT a roadster; the difference is that a convertible has roll-up windows, rather than snap-in window curtains.) Perfectly restored examples go for about $40-50K these days. I would estimate that this car is worth about half that figure.

  • HOLY HEAVENLY GOD!! I WANT THAT CAR!! (And the Victrola!!)

  • Very nice indeed, traffic and all! I love her singing. AOSI had a two-LP collection of her lovely records. Thanks! More!

  • Attractive tone and fluent, brilliant singing. (I also like the car!) Thanks gmmix for posting, and thanks to AE for sharing.

  • Excellent voice! Brava! Thanks for uploading.

  • Thank you for this fine introduction to Anna-Maria Guglielmett!
