only time you see the screensaver is when the phone is locked and you can change it with any picture you choose. Yes you can use the phone as a modem. it also has picture ID Calling.

I cant wait 2 get this phone. I would have been a little upset if this phone was from at&t, their a little 2 slow 4 my taste. Actually sprint should have gotten the iphone, i bet it would have been alot faster. But they got the instinct so im happy now.
