I'm still trying to figure it out. Purim is a Jewish holiday I believe in which the Jewish people celebrate Esther's saving of the Jewish people from the annihilation of Haman, King Ahasueras' (sp?) advisor. Purim is the Hebrew word for the lots he cast to figure out what day he would try to kill them on. I think it's Purim-style because she's singing about the events that take place in the Book of Esther.
