  • It's an approximative American-English pronunciation, isn't it?

  • "In The Beginning" ELOHIM=ANGELS CREATED THE UNIVERSE UNTIL "At The End." All They DID ARE "ENTIA MOBILIA"=TEMPORARY BEINGS, Whose Antonym is "ENS IMMOBILE"=THE ETERNAL ONE, WHO ONLY CREATED THE ANGELS & MANKIND, WHOSE ETERNAL VALUE IS PRESENT. The Westerners' FATAL PROBLEM is ELOHIM, Who is JAPHETH's GOD=YHWH ELOHIM, WHO IS SAM'S GOD! Japheth's Pontius Pilate didn't know Jesus' GOD. Ham's Pharaoh didn't know Moses'GOD. I was born in SAM'S HOUSE, I know HIM: HE CREATED ONLYTHE ANGELS & MANKIND.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I am just starting to learn Hebrew by myself and this helps a lot. I am trying to read the texts aloud to better recognise and remember the characters.

  • HEY! I am beginning Hebrew alphabet vids very shortly, possibly tonight! Woo hoo! lol, oh drats, that's not very professional is it? GRIN! Yes, I will be producing enormous, copious amounts of vids on learning Hebrew, and I have decided to begin at the very beginning. So hang on, the vids are on the way.....

  • I have always thought that it is interesting that God made light and divided day and night in verses 3-5 (1st day) but did not create the sun and moon until verses 14-18 (4th day).

  • There is actually a perfectly legitimate and fascinating reason for this from the Kabbalistic perspective. Leonora Leet in her materials discusses this in detail. I shall have to show it in vids. It's a great topic!

  • @ChristopherMillz .....actually the Bible does not say that the "sun" was made on the 4th day...

  • @WatchingFromDistance Yeah, well, technicalities... other than the sun, what else would "the greater light [in the firmament] to rule the day" be? :)

"And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also" (Gen 1:16).

  • @ChristopherMillz ...well.lets see something here...

What would the Bible call all the stars,(Including our sun) including all the galaxies, and worlds and everything in space.....what one word might the Bible use to describe all of that stuff?....could it be "the heavens"?....

  • @WatchingFromDistance It could be, but not in this case. If you read, everything is very specific. As we know, stars, galaxies and worlds continue to form and die. Until it is explained to me, otherwise, I shall have to conclude that light existing before the "fourth day" came from some other source than our sun.

  • @ChristopherMillz ..ok,,then I have a question for you to chew on.

"What does the Bible say is the first thing God made "In the beginning"?

  • @AlanMolstad All I know is what is written. Do you have further enlightenment?

  • @ChristopherMillz ...."enlightenment?...me?

Well I would not go that far...LOL

But Im not one of the jerks, or a spammer.

Im not out to trick you.

I'm just a normal Bible student, with a question for you..

What does the Bible say is the first thing God created "In the beginning"?

  • @WatchingFromDistance Sorry, I thought the question was rhetorical. A: heaven and earth. But the earth, as we know it, could be described as water, land, grass, etc. However, it was not so on the first day. The heaven, or firmament, as we know it, had no sun, moon, or stars until the fourth day (according to Genesis). Hence, in the beginning, the heaven was simply an empty sky or space. I don't see how you can read the account and interpret it any other way.

  • @ChristopherMillz ...before we think about what the Text means, we just should try to agree with what it literally says...

So if I understand your answer, you believe that the first thing the Text says God created 'in the beginning": was "the heavens"?...correct?

  • @ChristopherMillz again, the term "heavens" counts for stars, worlds and our sun too...no way around that fact.

The bible does not say the "sun" was made of the 4th day...it was made on the 1st in total agreement with science by the way

  • @ChristopherMillz oh and I just noticed ...my name is Alan and is also WatchingFromDistance...(when Im on wife's computer i end up with different name, sorry for the confusion

  • @ChristopherMillz ...just stick to the Text wording.

The "Heavens" is the first thing made in the Bible.

Stars like our sun are included in this term "heavens"

So the stars are made right at the beginning...

No contradictions with science at all here

  • @ChristopherMillz it just does not say the "sun" was made on the 4th day....

  • "I am probably going to go fishing later today"

I am stuck inside doing research! I am envious!

isn't in Hebrew the im ending makes it plural?

    example Elohim?

  • Yes. Also HashamayIM for " the heavens." Well hey, you don't have it so bad, I'm stuck doing research and teaching Hebrew for the early part of the day, so suffer pal! LOL!

  • The -IM ending by the way is the masculine. The feminine plural is -OT. The ending with tav and he is feminine. I shall get into that part of the grammar in a bit. Not really necessary at this point to learn to read Hebrew. But we SHALL cover it......

  • "The -IM ending by the way is the masculine"

which would mean in the word ElohIM that masculine Godhead? As opposed to singular God. Am I correct?

  • Yes, that's one way to look at it all right. Remember though the Zoharic rabbis teach that Elohim is both masculine and feminine. They have interesting ways of manipulating things to give direction to their eisegesis. It is remarkably entertaining if nothing else! I shall share a lot of their materials in my lessons.
