I finally got to see these awesome gents in the late 90's at Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill.

They played after 5 or 6 "younger" punk bands some of which were pretty good, but when these guys came out they blew the fucking lid off the joint.

Not a fucking soul in that packed hous stopped jumpin' & screamin' for their extended set {they have a lot of fucking hits} and I couldn't hear for a week afterward...great times, lads. great times.

My sister said there was new people doing the drums and bass when she saw them live so these may be the same men she meant. Good job in getting into such a great band as the buzzcocks. Yeh great gig last night, my ears are still ringing, although that may have been from the feedback from The Spazzy's guitar (or the maniacal screaming from their two middle aged fans stood next to me) my eldest and I got up to the front I even got a high five from Steve Diggle, on a downer though my younger Son and his girlfriend ended up going into the back room after some older "fan" elbowed her out of the way to get to the front. I heard by word of mouth about the Buzzcocks in 1978 and went out and bought their newly released single "Love you more", from that moment I was hooked, I went to see them in Liverpool when they gigged with Joy Division in 1979, seen them again in Manchester in 1989, and on Saturday I will be at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne with my 20 and 24 year old lads to see them again, I may never be 'sixteen again' but when I listen to these guys it sure brings back my youth. Keep on keeping on lads.
