Hello, I got a Honher silverstar a few years ago, and am looking for a better quality harp as i am advancing, is this boxset for quantity or quality?? And how does it compare to a special 20 or Lee Oskar?
@drummmer4m This is great if you are starting out, like the silver star. But maybe you need something better. There are many choices so try a few out. Best value i know is the SonnyBoy's Special harmonica. There's a youtube video of that name which you can search for. Sorry it won't let me add the link but you'll find in in the search. Good luck, Ben.
what would the sharps and flats be good for? Also another question I have is what makes chromatic harmonicas important? (I play just about evry kind of music) And also could you please name many of the nice harmonica brands you know?
@BL00DndG0R3 You mean the sharp and flat keyed harps? They are good for playing in all the different keys in music, and so is a chrom harmonica - it's easier to play in all 12 keys on a chrom than a diatonic. You want a list of brands? Sonnyboys, Hohner, Seydel, Suzuki, Lee Oskar...
hi how are you? would you recommend this set of harmonicas or the piedmont or somtething like that set? or wich one of the 7 piece packs that hohner has? thanks
@gastonbarker You get what you pay for with harmonicas although branding will also be an influence. This set is better than the Piedmont in my view as it has metal rather than plastic covers. Another choice might be the Sonnyboy's special - have a look at my video of that title, I think that is the best value around. Ben
Sounds awesome for the money!! I have wanted to play for years and bought a couple and always seem to lose interest after I cant do it. Got to buy a new one as the Hohner I have seem bust on the suck of 3.
