Its a tactic in boxing, guys do it when they're tired, when they're getting beat up to tie the guy up, and to in the inside. mallanagi is far to cocky he was chatting all sorts of shit before he fought cotto! it was a good fight but he got beat, it's gonna be the same this time! by the way clinching is part of boxing it's far less of a form of cheating as type headbutting and elbowing americans seem to think is acceptable!

malignaggi maybe "Cocky" as many fighters can be, including Calzaghe (and jones too), but talk = fight promotion. Most of the time it's just an act in order to get more media attention and get more views.

I like hatton but i think malignaggi is gonna win on points. if malignaggi can dance and move away for 12 rounds while jabbing alot, and throwing occasional combinations he will get the UD. if hatton can get to the body early and cut off the ring then he can maybe get the win, but malignaggi is elusive and hes not gna stay in the same spot against hatton. i hope hatton learns how to jab and how to slip a jab before fightnight, if not it will be a long night for him

I find it hard to cheer for Paulie because of his tendancy to pucker and pose (I hate that shit!) But Paulie is a great precision puncher, with incredible speed and ring work. He showed a tremendous amount of balls against Cotto, who, I hope we can agree, is superior to Ricky. I think Ricky is too wild and JUMPS in with is guard open and therefor gets hit with alotta hooks. New trainer or not, the timing, speed and precision of Paulie will prevail. Paulie wins by left hook KO.

Paulie isn't elite, but he's got decent boxing skills, good stamina, faster hand and foot speed than Hatton, very well tested against adversity and super confident.
