I was wondering... is it necessary to curl your hair (pincurls/ rollers/ curling iron) before making the victory rolls? Or can it be done with straight hair?

@ummHud well of course youdon't HAVE to curl it, however it makes it much easier to achieve a nice shape and fullness to the roll. Try it out, there's no wrongs or rights:)

@7911060 1st one is "Lookin better every beer" by Stray Cats. 2nd is "Sweet Loraine" by Devil Doll. 3rd is "ooby dooby" by unknown. I couldn't remember the singer's name, but I know Roy Orbison does a version of it too:)

@TheNostalgicGirl Oh yeah, Martin!! Just couldn't remember the name, lol. Thanks a bunch. The curls were made by pincurling medium sized sections of dry hair over night. Then they come out softer and less frizzy. I try alot of different settings, it's all about trial and error, till you figure out what works for your hair:)

@nightmares624 ...No product other than what I put in my hair just after washing it, which is a sorta smoothing lotion. I pin curled day old dry hair, overnight. It seems to leave a softer, less kinky curl when I do them dry. Hope that helps:)

@ginneybilbray hey Ginney, sorry it took a while to reply...about the pin curls, I generally aim them down and away from each side of my face. But sometimes I just throw them up randomly, and come what may, I go with it:) Hope that helps some. Thanks for the comment-xo

well I just started using some new skincare stuff, I'll use it for a while and then maybe do a review on it. So far so good though! And I got the snood from a local beauty supply place. Haha, the owner had them stashed away cause she's never had anyone ask for them:) But I'm sure you can order them from various online retro shops.
