  • Looks really good man...shorter stem (you are looking into that)...what length of cranks do you run? Got a shot of you "down" in the drops and another shot with you relaxed on the top of the bars (not the hoods but the inside)?

    Looks like you can increase that knee angle at the bottom stroke (raise seat and/or increase crank length).

  • raise seat dude. however it's best to just pay up and get a true professional fit. i would recommend the "retul" system as it differs from tradional static fit systems. nothing is more of a time waste than always messing around with the bike. perhaps you've got something done by now. good luck.

  • You could become more efficient by pointing your toes to the ground less. You only do this badly when going quickly, recreate your slow pedalling stroke at all speeds and you'll reap the rewards.

  • No your seat should NOT be moved forward. Nothing could be further from the truth.

    When you got out of the saddle to sprint, you were too far forward, keep your rear further back, closer to the saddle so you can get more power from your glutes. The muscle groups in your leg should all be working evenly. If you are lacking strength in one area you may want to think about weight/resistance training.

    Shorten your stem, seat more back.

  • Thanks for the input Shawnbon206. appreciated. I have discussed a shorter stem already with my mechanic and seat has gone back a fraction as well as up a touch.

  • I think your bike is a size too big for you honestly. I say that because it looks like your seat is too far forward so that you can reach the handle bars. The problem with this is that your position over the crank-set should be adjusted first, then you should adjust stem length and handle bar height second. Saddle to crank orientation affects everything in the lower half of your body, your main power transfer. Saddle to handlebar orientation affects your upper body, you secondary power transfer.

    I would look at putting seat up a fraction and then slightly forward - maybe a 1-2cm...

    the 3oclock downstoke pedal position looks Ok, so this should remain the same by doing the above

    We will have dialled in motion kit set up by the end of this month - so can get road and TT positions exact!!! :-)
