John Piper - What are your thoughts on Halloween?

Ive seen a dozen of these. Piper seems to not stand for anything. In every question, he is given an opportunity to answer with Biblical Christ based answers yet he doesnt. Seems to pander to both sides of every argument as to not offend anyone. Typical modern day churchianity.

@T2Todd2 As John said, worship on Sunday and celebrating Christmas have roots in pagan holidays. Are you going to deny Christmas and say that people who worship on Sundays are wrong? As Paul said, if what you do becomes a stumbling block for other Christians than you shouldn't do it. It's OK to eat things sacrificed to idols so long as you don't cause a brother to stumble (1 Cor. 8). Piper is not wrong; he is taking Paul's principles and applying it to our current day culture.

@CmRoddy I do deny Christmas and I don't worship on sunday, for that specific reason. They are both rooted in paganism and occult, but because of YAH's mercy HE has allowed it thus far. There is coming a Great Tribulation, full obedience is required. I worship and acknolwledge the true Sabbath, Friday sundown to saturday sundown. I DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE CHRISTMAS NOT SUNDAY WORSHIP, which means I don't make big meals, nor meet at on december 25th to sing songs, I do all this during HIS true time of birth Sukkot as in the Holy scriptures. Christmas, and easter have pagan roots which is why I don't acknowledge them. sunday is not the day YAHUVEH set aside for HIS day of rest. The Sabbath is. Sukkot is YAHUSHUA's true birth time not Christmas, and Passover not Easter. Passover represents the blood of the only lamb of YAH. I'm wasting my time.
