@SwagzNPr0dz Hard reset? No you do not need to unroot in order to do a hard reset. If you have clockworkmod recovery, you can still do factory resets with root by selecting the FACTORY RESET option

Please make a notation for Metro PCS LG Optimus 1. Turn it off, remove the battery out and reinsert it back again 2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button 3. Press and hold the Power button until it turns on again 4. Just follow the on-screen procedures to reset the LG Optimus M

Once the restoring process completes, the LG Optimus M will then reboot, and then it will restore back to its original default state setting again like when you bought it way back then.

@TeshawnEdmonds Well why don't you give it a try? But it takes about 5 minutes to do the resetting and then you are set to start setting up the phone again.

Well I am just being curious lol, but will your phone number, your phone plan, and all of the information from the cellphone carrier stay in the phone. My phone isn't bricked but I am thinking of rooting my phone and running a custom rom on it, but I am scared it if gets bricked I can't fix it. Please reply!:)

@MegaCherryLimeade 1. Phone number always stays on the SIM card and not the phone.

2. Phone Plan stays with SIM card

3. Cell Carrier info stays on SIM card.

Flashing it with a new ROM will cause the phone to reset into your new ROM each time you hard reset it.

I have an lg optimus m but i need help. First of all when i normaly turn it on it says

Fast boot mode started

and your method took me to the same fast boot screen. but when i press back + volume up + power button and hold it, it takes me to the lg logo screen and turns on the hard button lights and stays there.

@ElectronicHackz nope does not work for some reason. i installed rom manager and i wanted to flash a rom but first i wanted to back up the current rom. but it installed clockworksmod and i think it said huaweii ascend and i clicked back up and it rebooted.
