Have seen the work thus far and it's spectacular. The Museum Center has a video on the work they play downstairs inside one of the gift shops, along with some artifacts of that effort. Perhaps that video could be loaded here as a companion piece to this.
I grew up in the West End of Cincinnati in the 50's/60's and like many native Cincinnatians , took many a walk and spent lots of time on the grounds of the old "Terminal"... The gardens were lush and the station was magical... and when I visit now I am transported to a sweeter time...
Thank goodness the Museum Center is there .. It would be a shame to lose this treasure... The Union Terminal is part of the soul of the city and a soul is always worth saving...
Would have loved to see this building in the 50's-60's, but that was 20 years before my time... It is by far, one of my favorite places to visit. I can walk around the cincy history museum portion for hours on end. Hopefully one day, it will be restored to its full glory.

Somethings are not worth saving. A nation is worth saving from evil. This building has very limited uses. The ROI is probably at zero for any repairs. Otherwise the private sector would have done it already.
The ROI for the private sector may be zero, but CMC@UT is an architectural landmark and is a beacon of progress to the city of Cincinnati and the Midwest. The Museum Center is a huge educational asset for this part of the country and is definitely worth saving. I agree that our national defense is vital to the survival of our democracy, but public education and acknowledging our history are equally important; CMC heralds both and should be preserved at all costs.

It's a good thing they fixed most of these problems last year.

This building is an architectural gem. There's nothing like it anywhere in the country. It's also an excellent museum. It needs to be fixed.

It's in downtown cincinnati-easier to build a hospital in iraq than to fix this building

If a nation can spend 300 billion $ in iraq,
it should be a piece of cake to save a building of such magnitude.
