You misunderstood me: I just said that Spielberg hates so much Germans that he can't (or doesn' want) avoid giving in to temptation to punish them in his movies. I didn't say that Germans were (or still are...) good or evil. This is another matter we can discuss apart about...
@mr9396 oh you mean you should shut your ears to the possibility of real concerns that the opposing side might have beneath those publicized by your own propagandist government? There are always two sides man. Often more than two sides. Just read the book. Download it or buy it. Then we talk.
@hobeeorchid. I'm not saying that all germans were evil bastards in the wars. But at the end of the day, It was the german government who started the war, they started the killing. it is the forgiveness of the first world war that helped start the next.
@alankersh sort of, but when you have machine gun implacments behind the camp you can fall back too, kind of takes the whole "They c'mon" fell out of it.
Spielberg is a good director indeed but he hates too much the Germans and for him the temptation to "punish" them in his movies is too strong.
Steven, when will you grow up??

@woobinda65. How can you make a film about war and expect the enemy the enemy to be shown as the good guys?

@hobeeorchid. If a country starts a war on another nothing should be treated fairly.
