@ahanix1988 That's a good question which I'm not sure of the answer. Next time I'm down there I'll examine the intersection. It's James street Fortitude valley (Ann street end) incase you're wondering.
@ myforwik sorry the road rules state that you do not try to overtake a long or wide vehicle. When another vehicle trys to run up the side of a heavy vehicle that is stradling 2 lanes where the road markings are made to suit a Suzuki Swift, not a 16 tonn , 12 metre bus.Every bus ,heavy vehicle, long vehicle is allowed to straddle 2 lanes for 500 meters as to make a safe turn,as not to mount kerbs, footpaths etc,
If you have a problem with heavy vehicles, check Qld Road Rules.
Bus drivers and truck drivers don't seem to realise that "no overtaking turning vehicle" only refers to overtaking on the inside of them, not the outside. On that left turn if the bus can't fit in the left lane they are meant to approach from the right lane, not approach from the left lane and hang over into the right lane.
@hunhun23 The lanes there is reasonably wide and the SUV had been honking a further 2 times (that I heard) before I turned the sound on... (about another 50 metres or more up the road) I had some music on which had to be turned off otherwise I would have been muted. Grrrr Sony music
@wikiwama It was the car / suv that was leaning on the horn. From what I could see the bus driver was in his lane at all times and was doing nothing wrong.
sadly the "boy racers" as you guys call them, that fad died out in america. there are a few here and there. the reason i say sadly is now everyone in a diesel truck thinks they have a race car, they make them blow black smoke and floor them all over the place just like the boy racers did. :( never thought id miss those little weedwacker sounding cars
@Cliffjumper24 Yep! I find that the creepers are generally the ones that have the slower reaction time too, even when they can still see the light. I think the creeping behavior is something only absent minded drivers do. Seems it would be evidence of impatience but I don't think that's what it is.
ouch bird, see it perfect on that cam! second clip dont make sense why people would speed past! if busy best to slow down too but as I see on youtube bad things happen cause they dont care! :30 should at least have hazard, once I yelled at car its illegal to park there as I pass before cam! wow crazy very close taxi vs taxi and lucky other wasnt going fast! bus long and on curve it will partly stick into other lane and suv got scared but wasnt a problem! great captures!
1:30 - Brake problem? I remember I drove my mom's 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass and it have problem with brake. When it's red light, I already put full brake on with my foot but its just keep going like that clip, instead I put it in neutral.
What's the purpose of the empty space at say 1:30 ? Is it to ensure the blind corner is cleared before traffic comes in or something?

It could be that the bus was turning a little too close to the SUV and the driver of that SUV was honking at him to let him know that he was there.

I find the one at 1:08 funny.
I call them 'creepers' because the inch forward a bit at a time hoping to be forst to leave the traffic lights.
It's funny when they creep forwards so far, they can't see the lights change, making their efforts pointless!!

1-way street story: Two Brits travel to Germany for a football match.
They can't find anywhere to park close to th stadium, so they park in a nearby street.
Just in case they got lost, they wrote down the name of the street.
Sure enough, after the match they get lost trying to find their car, so they stop some police officers for help.
''I wrote down the name of the street' says one guy, handing an officer a slip of paper....
