I assume you've never recorded a drumset with a video camera; that's the result you get: crappy sound.

I love the way you play. Your timing is great and you have great talent. I am envious. However, your drums don't seem to be tuned to the song. You are amazing in your timing, coordination and ability but the drums don't seem to have the right sound. Don't be upset. I recognize your amazing ability and am only trying to help. My first covers were recorded using my camera's mic and the result was less than perfect to say the least.

Please check my newest videos (I'm using external mics now) and let me know what you think. The difference is huge, believe me :-)

Yeaph... I had a lot of problems with my old editing software back then. Most of my covers got out of sync on the second half.

Check out my newer version... it´s a lot cleaner.

I was planning to loose one arm and give it another shot but... just kidding :-)

You might not believe this, but in my old sessions of "air drumming" back in college, I use to practice this song using my left foot instead of my left hand. Too bad I don't have an electronic kit like Rick does to prove it :-)

Por mucho, te recomiendo la batería que yo tengo: Es una Tama Superstar SK; está hecha de madera de birch y basswood (Abedul y Tilo) y está muy bien construida (su apariencia es expectacular y su hardware es de primera).

Se considera como una batería de rango medio (En EUA cuesta poco mas de 700 dólares) y sustituye a la anterior serie Rockstar de Tama.

Eso sí, no trae ni asiento ni platillos, y los parches que trae son de serie económica, así que tendrás que invertirle otros $450 dólares aproximadamente. Te recomiendo los que yo tengo que son los Paiste PST5, los cuales como ves suenan bastante bien y aguantan el castigo sin problema.

Y si de plano estás con presupuesto limitado, te recomiendo la Tama Imperialstar; esa ya viene con asiento y platillos por menos de $700 dólares y sólo tendrías que cambiarle los parches para que suene bien.

First of all, thanks for your comment!

I listen to the songs while playing using my earphones and later on I synch the video with the song using my editing software. That worked fine when I was using an old stereo from home, but now that I'm using an iPod, I just can't put the video in perfect synch with the song, no matter what software I use.

My iPod is playing the tunes just a little bit faster (less than 1% in fact). If you listen carefully, you'll notice that at the beginning of the song, I'm after the beat, in the middle I'm in perfect synch and by the end of the song, I'm behind the beat. That's because I have to start the song just a couple of frames before, so in the end, it doesn't sound too bad... and unfortunately, that's happening with all the songs I'm uploading.

I guess I'll have to start using my old stereo again :-)
