  • @SuperRiceCrackers - Looks like Alan Knott to me.

  • who is the name of person in "background"....????

  • thanks for sharing

  • what a video

  • is david hookes wearing a motorcycle helmet?

  • @seanralston1 that was the first prototype cricket helmet used in WSC in 1977.

  • first time i've ever seen ray bright taking wickets

  • 4:32 just looks like the worst batting technique

  • @ItsOneInAMillion i reckon. who is that? thats the worst batting i've ever seen!

  • By 'above' i obv mean my earlier post...lol Btw, how come can't access yr channel now? Has something happened to it?

  • Cheers for reply Rob. Was hopeful as thought you said on WSC Windies clip that you had taped a load of matches (mind you, you would have had to be HOW young? lol). Was wondering then if you had ANY footage of above, the best innings in both yrs finals (inc winning partnership in 78/79 between B.Richards and procter, and 78/79 WI v World XI, esp Rice's 83 and Procter's 56, plus those two's bowling in that match? Totally understand if you've not got any of that tho mate

  • i think last batsmen ...hit wicket....

  • Is it really Alan Knott at 4:33. Never thought he had such a weird stance.

  • Interesting to see how far back and across Ian Chappell gets when playing the quick bowlers. You don't see that so much nowadays - I guess techniques don't have to cope with the absence of protection as they did in Chappell's day. Now even a great backfoot player like Ponting tends first to move forward. I guess it's all more evidence of the greatness of Viv Richards, who could first move forward even though he didn't wear a helmet.

  • how much footage of richard hadlee you got? if you have videos up already?

  • Absolutely fantastic work yet again Rob. Never ever thought I'd get to see WSC footage, esp as I heard Channel 9 had no footage left. Is this true, and how come if so?

Sorry to ask as you have so many requests I reckon, but there are 3 WSC matches I've always wanted to see. One is the 77/78 Perth match where World XI scored 625 v Aus, with Barry Richards, greenidge and Viv scoring 207, 140 and 177 respectively and G.Chappell getting 174.

  • @del71music supertests just dont exist man....no footage of any length....

  • The batsman at 4:32 beats Chris Martin hands down..lmao..worst batting ever ha ha

  • @anshuman0001 how about McGrath, Walsh and Murali - they up there too

  • @anshuman0001 Actually he was a very good bat and easily the best keeper of his generation

  • That's a dummy spit if I have ever seen one by Rod Marsh.

  • lol...who's that batsman @4:32 ?????

  • @abner5640 That's the worst batting stance I've ever seen, by far.

  • @Mladenovski28 it really is but he's concentrating my word ----

  • @abner5640 it's Alan Knott. He was pretty unorthodox, but effective - made a century against Lillee and Thomson in their prime in 1974/5.

  • @jstreete lol ...gosh could he make a hundred he must of edge all of his fours or something that stance could be entered into the Guinness World Records Book ---
