  • I don't think anyone looked bad. There's no question who's boss, however.

  • tears, always tears for me

  • I notice when he sings god bless him, he always seems to be reading the lyrics. Hasn't it sunk in yet? A coping thing for an anxiety problem? Hates singing in big crowds?

  • i always get goosebumps when pavarotti starts singing

  • I love you Sarajevo-will never forget.but-taki je život.žao mi,bosanci.volim vas sve.

  • I cry for you sarajevo

Halal ti pita dite!!!. VOLIM VAS SVE. I LOVE YOU ALL

  • I believe all of the animosity that brought about the breakup of the country began even before the country was formed into the Kingdom of Croats, Serbs, and Slovenes. Then it got worse during World War Two with Croatia declaring independence and allying itself with the Nazis. After the country was "reunified", all the old hatred for different ethnic groups never went away, and when the conditions were "right" for each faction, the powder keg ignited. And Bush didn't care, cause there's no oil.

  • see you little hip hops dumb singer kids?

pavaroti is "voice" and you dudes nowadays ruin music industry

80's, 90's and some few songs from the first years of 2000...now music industry is about marketing and not about music quality like it used to be...

  • This is absolutely 1 of the most beautifullest songs ever. (or at least to me). It gave me the shivers the first time i heard it and it still does.

  • Thanks from Sarajevo

  • this is love....love will come!

  • Dedicated to Lady D. ..

Although not found true love, was recognized and loved by people who really liked him and not his image.

I am of the generaccion that only saw in his last moments of life on TV.

But in people there is some energy that is transmitted to all that makes us feel happy and confident...

E come il fiume giungerai a me,

Oltre i confini e le terre assetate,

    Dici che come fiume,

Come fiume l'amore giungera..I love you Bono, I love U2

  • amore..I Love you Bono, I love U2

  • beautiful..I love this with Bono and Friends, I love you Bono

  • I love Pavarotti....I love U2....I love the song....I hate war

  • Just keep your head down during the war....war is a shit!we the women bring deformed children!!!don`t do the war please! We don`t want a soldier radioactive man !

  • Indescribable in it's purity and beauty!Brings tears to your eyes with the power of his voice..kudos

  • great song !!!

  • Such a great voice.

  • never ever forget what happened to this beutiful city and its lovely people whatever faith or race ...i think this song is for all who are ripped off by war whatever side you may be on or whether your couse is right or wrong ....remember ..mostrar , srebrenica , etc

  • Angry Muslims still raging on Sarajevo videos.

  • love it

  • Actually the Serb Christians were pretty much shooting at the Muslims in this was, as well as detention "camps". But everybody was getting killed.

  • how the fuck anyone in their right mind dislike this song? especially when you consider what it's about...

  • This song is not a tribute to Luciano Pavaroti, though he was great.

This song is a tribute to Sarajevo, and ultimately to human rights and peace.

Amazing that we've taken our eyes off of the message and instead become enamored with the messengers.

  • @norealbody relax man no one will ever forget what happened in Sarajevo that's what this show is all about but also lets not forget that this is a wonderful song too and we are allowed to comment on it that's all i'm saying

  • very good question, a better question would be that you are not asked what happened to the great war of aggression from the mountains, the Chetniks targeted Sarajevo and Serb Chetniks were you. A lot of people died that does not happen again that's what happened to a lot of soldiers from the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina were killed greetings from Sarajevo

  • Sarajevo, the most beautiful city on earth !

  • Thank you so much behalf of all Bosnians! :)

  • never forget Sarajevo, Srebrenica and Bosnia... never forget those years of torture and war ... Pavarotti a great great great man, as well as Bono and U2...

  • Juarez is this gen Sarajevo

  • excelente

  • Love this...you should be so proud...

  • Great song Bono sounded great till Pavarotti cleared his throat and blew Bono off the stage ..wow what a voice

  • @hungryherbie No doubt, Pavarotti was pretty epic in this song, made em all look bad.

  • @WelfareSymphony You are pretty negative my friend by saying they all look bad....It was a team work with the arrangment and both singners were wonderful showing their art....Decibels is not everyhing....But I certainly enjoyed that portion....It was their goal...

  • @steph0001sy PS....It was "Pavarotti and friends"....Master tenor and master pop singer both knows they are not competing....such a different field....

  • @steph0001sy I'm just giving Pavarotti his just due. No need to take offense, I'm sure Bono and the others wouldn't be offended..

  • @WelfareSymphony Pavarotti's part is HUGE my friend...The PEAK of that video!!! .A real treat! But nobody were looking bad...simply....I'm trying to get your point but the word "bad" is not pertinent from my point of you. No pop singer can competed with a master tenor. Thank you for your reply anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @hungryherbie hehe

  • @hungryherbie ...I do not think he cleared him out of the stage....They both have their own qualities regardless of he decibels...I think you are missing something a bit...Personnaly, they both blowed me away....Bono with his charismatic smooth, unique and sincere voice and Pavarotti with his master tenor voices...It was their goal man....

  • @steph0001sy I agree with you but you shouldn't have taken my comment seriously it's just when Pavarotti sings well let me put it this way ..he's a hard act to follow if you know what I mean cheers herbie

  • @hungryherbie Hey No problem....It.s all good

  • @hungryherbie

    really nice song

  • @Segesoar Yes it's a wonderful and moving song and a great credit to all on stage

  • @BOOOOOOOOOOSSSSS you mean 1425??

  • Not that anyone's asked, but here's is the translation to Paravotti's lyrics: You say that the river finds the way to the sea and like the river you will come to me beyond the borders and the dry lands You say that like a river like a river... the love will come the love... And i don't know how to pray anymore and in love i don't know how to hope anymore and for that love i don't know how to wait anymore
  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I have a friend whose parents lived through the regime of Ante Pavelic' in Croatia during WWII, and my favorite actress, Mira Furlann, who is Croatian & married to a Serb, was basically forced to leave Yugoslavia when the press completely turned against her, after lauding her as "Yugoslavia's Meryl Streep", all because she refused to take sides in the war. This is just an amazing song.

  • sublime

  • How can 20 people dislike this song? Bear in mind this is the generation that voted Robbie Williams as the greatest musician of the last Millennium!! Fucking morons!

The Pavarotti part is just so beautiful and emotive, it brings tears to your eyes watching the video along with it.

  • Fuck Serbia

  • guerra!!!

  • And Sarajevo miss Luciano...R.I.P. you great man....

  • thks Lucianno you are inmortal.....LOVE

  • No... in those dark days you were not alone !!....

  • a perfect example that proves music is art and music is timeless

forvever these pieces of music will send cool breezes through my soul remining me im so alive

RIP our wonderful Luciano Pavarotti and thank you U2

  • war is sucks men. no god

  • i´m still waiting for passenger vol. 2 !!!

  • ''Is there a time for tying ribbons

    A time for Christmas trees

Is there a time for laying tables

And the night is set to freeze...''

    ♥ Sarajevo

  • MAGNIFIQUE

  • il piu' bello ,le piu' belle anime.Bello e terribile

  • goosebumps foreverrrrrrr

    ME ENCANTA EXCELENTE =)

Che come il fiume giungerai a me

Oltre i confini e le terre assetate

    L'amore giungerà, l'amore

    E non so più pregare

E nell'amore non so più sperare

E quell'amore non so più aspettare.

  • some fucking bands tried to combine classical with rock in the 70's but in my opinion they all failed . You only need a great rock band (U2) and a great classical singer (Pavarotti). The result is amazing

  • @dakarlion1 In 1969, the keyboardist for the group Deep Purple wrote a "Concerto for Rock Band and Orchestra" which was performed by the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra.I heardhe broadcast. Frank Zappa's "200 Motels" is a tour-de-force of electronic music and Ravi Shankar's "Concerto for Sitar and Orchestra" was certainly not a failure.

You are right about ELO's "Pictures At An Exhibition."

  • Echt Geweldig!

  • @bosniancelebrity your comment is so stupid that I'm not sure it even deserves anyones attention, but you should know that people like you are the ones responsible for all bad things that happened in former Yugoslavia...those ignorant, led by hatred warmongers who are taking the right to represent whole nation and accuse others

  • What wonderful voice of Luciano Pavarotti, who left us a marvelous gift of his songs, always used to build bridges between people, to create friendship, peace, love, to unite, never to destroy ... A wonderful use of their enchanted voice ...

  • Beautiful renditions by wonderful music artists takes nothing back from fact that some people can suck in both words and deeds!

  • irishtwilight, i think you will find that the song was all about generating political discussion in the area everyone was turning a blind eye to at the time. this was a scandal, what those bastard serbs got away with should have drawn swift action from uk and usa and an end to the troublesome little state of serbia.

  • This is so profoundly beautiful.

Which year was this done ?

  • dudes its such a beautiful lets not ruin it by talking about politics just listen to the song

  • @irishtwilightfan81 It is about politics. We can't forget what happened in Sarajevo. This song is meant to help us remember and talk about it, prevent it from happening it again. Saying NO to war

  • U2 rules!!! R.I.P Pavarotti...thanks.

  • Bono is great only in south park.... they have a perfect definicion of Bono Vox ...

  • pavarotti & bono...whoooow...

  • Fuck part takers, like bono and shit. You have to be from that place to understand the meaning of the whole shiet. I bet the thing was like that:

guy: hey bono, nasty bombing in sarajevo.

    Bono: yeah, where is that?

    guy: x-yugoslavia maaan,

Bono: yeah, are there innocent people dying?

    guy:Yes

Bono: i hate crime, let`s do a track.....call a tenor god damn it.

I know..artists and peace acions. the religious mix is the shit going down right there.

there are more layers of thruth.

  • @blanoz @blanoz @blanoz wtf ar u talking????I bet u, that Bono knows more about what happen there than u!

  • @blanoz um I figure you must be from the states to come up with this stuff, bono is oirish, he is aware of a world and geographical locations since he has been touring the place for years

  • Thank god for relligion. Common dont be discouriged, god is on YOUR side!!

  • No there is no FUCKING time for a beauty pageant or a nicey little song with a phenomenal fat fucking prima donna to take the stage. There was time for airstrikes and the lifting of the arms embargo which only benifitted the 'Serbs.' There was no time but to launch airstrikes in direct support of the fucking Bosnian Army (which included Serbs). We finally did that and the cowards that formed the bandit army whose snipers shot children retreated. Then we forced a settlement on the Bosnians...

  • Man, doing 'Air Big Fat Italian Guy' to this one. WHAT a tenor was Pavarotti!

  • A great singer as he was, Pavarotti sings this professionally but without any emotional expression on his face ... just a job for him ... shame!

Sarajevo girl who survived the anti-Serb propaganda and terror by fleeing the town

  • I just saw U2 live tonight and sang this song...Bono was amazing esp.singing Pavarotti's part and damn he was good at it,he gave me shivers!!!It was really touching, such a beautiful song!RIP dear Luciano!!!

  • So Powerful..!

  • What happend to this world today... people prepare this fate and events to the others

  • @NotAProfessional Good question: that's a question everyone should ask. And we shouldn't forget its' answer.

Look up "Siege of Sarajevo" on Wikipedia, that's a decent place to start.

  • @NotAProfessional the whole thing ranged from sadness to sadistic. heavy on the latter. My God, My God, these wounds are so old it moves beyond since. As you well know, you are a shame to the world. Long may all of yoour egos live. DEVILS...........

  • Bono doesn't use his celebrity to help the needy, he uses the fact that there are needy to help his own career and to make money for himself.

  • @HungryVermilingua I agree with you!

  • Thanks Yelina, was a beautiful time in Sarajevo

  • niesamowita moc

  • My God! This is very beautiful: the delicate voice of Bono's duet with the voice of explosive Pavarotti ...

I miss this magnificent tenor, he has been and always will be the best! ...

  • epic!

  • Beautiful song by the two legends. RIP to Pavarotti

  • perfecta

  • beautiful song about my city!!!sarajevo for you!!!

  • this song gives me goosebumps still, after so many yrs. lm not bosnian, lm croatian, but remember very well the war and killings both in Croatia and Bosnia....still, this is the most beautiful song ever written!

  • a masterpiece. u2 not one of my favorites who could deny the sheer brilliance of Miss Sarajevo. If this was all they ever done it would be enough.

  • One of the most amazing songs and duets of all time

  • Simplesmente emocionante........

  • dont need to mention any nation, because everydody know wath nation do this.

  • It is to remember that only the serbs, only them killed 10000 man , young adults, children all male at Srebrenica and NO ONE did something to prevent that salvage

massacre in our modern era....This is the reason why now Serbia is judging war criminals in order to rejoin EU....

  • It's easy to put a blame one on another. It's also easy to judge not being involved. Of course I found the problem of guilt in this case as quite complex, but on the other hand I'm old enough to remember who started the fire, to remember the speech given on 28 June 1989 by Slobodan Milošević at Kosovo Polje (so called Gazimestan speech) . The war started there. Remember that, ivkekosovo.

  • Belissima!!U2 vc's são demais...

    Brasil!!

  • I love U2,but this is not fair. Serbia is attacked by croatia and bosnia. U2 weren't in Serbia and this is so sad

  • @blueflagcfcyt You are one fucking retard.

Sto ste pocinili genocid, sto ste ubili 10000 civila u Sarajevu! Jel ti sad jasno? Cuj vi optuzeni...jadni vi...

  • vaya q video más triste y conmovedor ^^POR SIEMPRE LUCIANO PAVAROTTI^^

  • Hello do you know if the part Luciano is singing is a complete song? or was it just composed for this song?? thank you !!!

  • I dont know who started it but i do know that the Serbs (Serb particularly paramilitary units) behaved like Nazi's during this war.

    Genocide is never excusable.

  • Song is beautiful!

    Thank you, Bono....Grazie, Pavarotti!

  • Is that Princess Dianna at the beginning of this video?

  • Is that Princess Di at the beginning?

  • Comment removed

  • belissimo

  • Lindo vídeo.

  • How i hate this prick Bono...who is he to judge a nation.

  • @ivkekosovo Yeah, you're kinda rigth, I dont like him to much neigther, but this track is just fantastic, isn't it?

  • the song is great, but i didnt mean he is judging anyone in this song,i mean in general

  • @ivkekosovo well, you are right, he use to do this all the time, I hate how "first world" natios, junge other nations :(

  • Although I don't like celebrities telling people what to do and raising attention, I believe Bono means well. Plus this song is about ending a civil war where nothing is gained, and I think most can get behind that.

  • Ivkekosovo, what nation is Bono judging? He mentions none in the lyrics. Do you have a guilty conscience or something?

Being from Ireland, I would say Bono has had some experience distinguishing between the oppressed and the oppressors.

  • he is Judging my nation,Serbia. Not in this song, but he gives support to bosnian muslims, wich are(have been) supplied by Arab Terorists. And many arabs fought Serbs in Bosnia.Bono if he wants,he can ask for support for Ireland against England,i will give it,but now im not so sure

  • So, Arabs helped Bosnians?!? Than, what about all those Russians, Romaninas, Bulgarians and other bastards who helped serbia to invade and attack Bosnia and Herzegovina. What about them?!?!?! The worst thing that can happen to the human being is, to have eyes, but be blind to see the truth. I hope God will give you strenght to open your eyes and your heart full of hate, and give you His blessing to think clear.

  • ROMANIANS?BULGARIANS?Can you name one? There were about 500 VOLUNTEERS from Russia, not a proffesional army like the Arab terrorists. Also,Serbs fought the Croats,250 000 Serbian civilians from Croatia-Bosnia lost there home, and were exiled to Serbia.

  • WHAT TRUTH!?!Bosnia and Croatia started the war, they were paid by America. One of my family members was a Colonel in Croatia, not a single civilian was killed.God is on the Serbian side,he has always been, under the Turks,in the Austro German invasion,God gave us strength to love our country and defeat the invader.

  • @ivkekosovo srbine ispran ti je mozak totalno....

  • @s0bo ne lupaj budaletino,ti si taj ciji je mozak ispran,ja znam kolko su mi zla naneli stranci,i domaci izdajnici.

  • @JohnnyTRex99 Yeah, this Murphy/Power has some experience as well. Johnny, I hope you are talking about the Serbs. I HAVE a guilty conscience! My damned government (USA) sat in chickenshit paralysis as NOITHING was done for years. As Sebrenica was overrun. Well, I have some experience of feeling national shame. Felt plenty more in re Iraq; things look good for me to feel more. I have asthma so no branch of the US military will take me. I might go somewhere where I am likely to be killed.

  • @RobertMurph I am talking about Serbs. Your analysis completely forgets context of foreign affairs in 90s. In '92, the US attempted to use US army to bring humanitarian supplies to the starving in Somalia & restore order to anarchy. Sadly, the Somalis "bit the hand" trying to feed them, & the Clinton Administration withdrew vowing to avoid similar conflicts. Bosnia -- US encouraged European powers to solve. They did little. After Srebrenica, US intervened w/Dayton Accords -- look it up
