@TheQUAKERoatmeal Yep they now offer 7 stock now... this was back in the dev days when they shipped with xp home with zero driver support for 7.

Not quite true.... loads faster than xp on the same machine and does 1080HD video.

@theman7431 Keep in mind that was before proper drivers/bios... was mostly forced on xp drivers with some community released win7 drivers

i want to get 800mhz ram to overclock beyond 1900mhz with setfsb. any news about eeectl for HE?

I didn't know about it until now.... id be careful about using something like that. I don't think asus warranty covers overclocking.

no harm in o/c. i've pushed n270 to 2150 and as low as ~900mhz. with eeectl. i've read somewhere atom can go upto 2.4ghz.
warranty? i've never damaged any of my pcs by clocking. the worst thing if it freezes do reset and it's good again.

Your 1000HE boots up like 30 seconds faster than mines, I don't know why. I have the same specs as you. Maybe it's the RAM I'm using...or it could possibly even be readyboost slowing things down.

I upgraded mine to 2gb ram soon after getting mine.... That's probably it.

Mine is Buffalo Select... I'm not sure why it would be faster other than i got faster ram than was recommended.
