  • I love this it's great! The only thing is I don't know what a receiving blanket is? :S it might be a US term for something we name differently in the UK. Any clues? Thanks loads x

  • @CarrieMagicfingers It is a blanket you use to swaddle a newborn. So they are typically smaller than a normal child blanket.

  • no wonder mine didnt work lol i used just onsys an cupcake holders

  • I forgot to tell u my suggestion... I would add a cherry on top.

  • @alishaluxford Good luck and have fun! They are delightful. Try them with smaller items of clothing so you can use actual cupcake liners

  • @ItalianStallionette I know! It is so sweet :)

  • Is this new? I don't remember it.

The thumbnail photo looked just like a cupcake!

These are really cute. Seriously cute.

  • @yoyomax12 Brand new :) I intersperse new and old at times. This one I tried doing FOUR TIMES yesterday. The first one just irritated me. The second one was perfect until I uploaded it. I erased the original file from the camera. Then was told the last minute of the video was missing...but Audio was intact. WTH? Honi would not allow me to use "her" file cabinet (my workspace to do smaller crafts). So I went into dining room. Second try was finally a charm. But realized I hate this camera

  • Great idea Beth! They really are cute. :)

  • OMG!! Thanks Beth :)

This is is a precious idea! My mind started racing to all the alternative clothing choices that might work too. Cloth diapers, or burp cloths instead of receiving blankets, caps, socks, or wash cloths for the poof. Now that you showed us the technique the possibilities are endless!! :)

  • @jcrefasi1 Yep, it is definitely one that can be tweaked for your heart's content :)

  • Love you technical terms....A POOF. ;-) I like this. Good video.

  • @Elvis66 ha! I try hard with those technical terms ;)

  • @CookingAndCrafting Poof is SO a technical term... :)

  • @yoyomax12 I know, right?! HA!

  • Those are FANTASTIC! So glad I saw this now...I can make some of these this spring! I've got a new wee nephew on his way,...a new wee cousin gender unknown on the way, a wee girl baby cousin, and a wee little baby girl great neice coming in the next 10 weeks!! And a friend is also newly pregnant and due in the early part of fall! TY for this idea Beth! Your PRESCIOUS!!

  • @anmoose a onsie is a baby undershirt type garment that has a bottom part to it the wraps around the baby diaper too all in one piece all snapped up and it's very versatile as baby's can't remove it, and it's great for cold climate so baby's tummy doesn't get cold when his little shirt invariably rides up like they always do LOL

  • Okay, I unabashedly admit to being a clueless male who's never been to a baby shower in his life, so what the heck is a onesie?

  • @anmoose Like Kim said, it is pretty much a one piece tshirt. Sometimes there are snaps at shoulders, but not often. Snaps on the bottom allow easy access to remove/change diaper. They are pretty much a staple here in Hawaii... thinner tees.

  • Oh Beth this will be great for the next shower i give. I just love new ideas for little decors. :D xoxo

  • @hanna72861 I'm so glad you can use this idea--it is SO flipping cute! I always love looking for new shower ideas too, just to keep it fresh! :)
