@EveryonePickedMyName my personal issue with Dani is that he screams like that all the time. it gets very grating. Attila has a much more varied style that goes from screams like this to a really deep, almost spoken vocal style. and while it's true that CoF aren't "true" BM, they sure have no problem looking the part. as for your contention that they are "pure goth", they sound nothing like Bauhaus, Specimen, Fields of the Nephilim, Nosferatu, etc. the ones that actually are Goth.

Dead didn't leave a lot of recorded material with Mayhem so you can't really compare ^^ but I think Dead is more appreciated by many because he was with Mayhem at the best point of the band's career, and because he was so weird ^^ that gave the band a completely insane image and reputation. He was mysterious and so, that creates an even darker atmosphere :)
@mentalholocaust deads vocals were very haunting, just because they didnt have the same pitch as attila doesn't mean its less 'dark' or whatever...lol

Deathcrush is death metal, Wolfs Lair/Grand Decl has progressive and avant-garde influences. Chimera...modern black metal stuff. Ordo ad Chao as well (perverted songwrting!). All great albums.

And both vocalists' bands got a cult reputation with their bands in late 80's(Maniac with Mayhem Deathcrush Ep and Attila with Tormentor). I don't know what's your point here, Maniac and Attila are pretty much equal vocalists with their reputation in BM-history. Both guys kick ass, after all.
If I heard right, he screamed about 12s with high-pitched scream. That's well done, but only amazing thing here is that how high voices he can scream. The length isn't very long here, it would've been longer. Attila is a good vocalist, but I prefer Maniac :)

I liked Dead better with Morbid rather than Mayhem. Attila always made a very dark atmosphere for Mayhem which works very well.
