Truth, as well as Salvation, are GIFTS of the Lord. Man cannot obtain Salvation, or Truth, of his own free will.

Most of man was NOT elected unto Salvation. So they dwell as non-elect, destined for destruction on Judgment Day, May 21, 2011. The non-elect cannot hear the Lord's Words. They are NOT God's "sheep". They are in spiritual darkness.

Therefore, most folks HATE Biblical Truth. God's Word brings condemnation on most of mankind. We will experience this in 68 weeks. Pray for mercy.

To be "Born Again" means that you were Elected, and had your sins paid for by the Lord, Jesus Christ, from before Creation. The Born Again part is when the Lord gives that person a new, eternal soul (Ezek 36:24-27; Deu 30:6; John3:27; Romans 9:15). This person is now a new creature, that is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. This person can still sin, because of his body of flesh.

However, that person will not linger in sin. On the Day of the Rapture, May 21, 2011, the Lord will complete the job.

Those who are not are subject to a life of miserable ignorance never knowing the truth that they themselves desperately long to find but simply choose not to walk through the open door and see for themselves. @Darwinsgift Without God, man has no wisdom. He can accumulate facts but can not relate them to the grand scheme without wisdom. This is why you still question what I already know. I have been given wisdom from God which comes in the form of the Holy Spirit. I dont one day hope to have faith justified. It has been already for me. When the Holy Spirit comes to a man, his belief becomes knowledge and faith is no longer neccessary. Reality is what it is eventhough you cant comprehend it.

If the scientific method is your preferred avenue for aquiring evidence, how do you conclude there is no God without experimenting? I have plenty of evidence that the Bible is not true yet you see this as arrogance. Do you not see the hypocracy in what you say here. Should a god who threatens you not provide some evidence of existence. Does it not depend on where you are born as to which god you follow? Does the story of Jesus not mirror the storiesof earlier prophets such as Mithra and Krishna from other faiths? Does the bible itself not mention other gods? Why should I believe you?

Love between two people can only be proven to each other by each other. Does this mean it does not exist because a third party can not gain proof of this love? It is a very similar experience with the Holy Spirit but greatly multiplied. I cant offer explanation of literary imperfection of the bible or similarities in other stories, but the message of the gospel holds true. I do have evidence of this that only comes from God. It is the Holy Spirit. It can not be decribed in words.

Love between two people can be shown in many ways that proves it to others and a third party can see this from observation, love letters etc plus knowing both of the individuals on a personal level. If one of these individuals was invisible and only in the mind of the other you would call that person crazy even if you could not prove that the invisible one does not exist! You holy spirit thingy is clearly an illusion based on superstition! Release from superstition is also uplifting!

I once asked all the same questions. God does offer the evidence in the form of the Holy Spirit when you offer faith. If I could prove God to you with human intellect, I could then prove it to anyone and that would nullify the choice we are given. God carries the burden of proof but will not offer it untill you follow the Gospel of Jesus. I dont expect you to believe me but I expect that you will believe God when the time comes whether it be in this life or in death.

Ok Well my pastor and his wife are very much prayer warriors and born agains. And there son turned on them not to long ago. Now as any parent would feel on there son turning on them they were heart broken. And theyve been praying praying praying in Jesus name for there son to come back home. One day 2 weeks ago she told God she was literally giving up on her son. And if you knew this woman she gives up on nothing. Well needless to say she was watching TBN which is on cox digital cable

With the well documented proof of evolution disproving that man is an animal disproves genesis. Type in Bible contradictions and you will find many examples! Genesis 1:1 In the beggining God made the heavens and the EARTH. Genesis 2 Also talks about how God made humans. Working in the health field I've seen many theists praying that science works. Of course they would deny this and would only give god the credit when it works. Regarding the anecdote about the murderer who tells the judge that he is 'born again'. Now I doubt this man would seriously think he should be completely forgiven by people in this world for his crime but at the same time I wonder how much it would affect the jury in the direction of leniency due to a perception of guilt and wanting to repent? I just say this because there are many born agains' in prison that found religion shortly after their crimes or during their tenure of incarceration.
