  • Mine in the snow!

    watch?v=TJS-EI-x-8E&feature=colike

  • A lot of the mail carriers where I live used to drive these. Excellent vehicles for snow, if you need something 4WD but don't need a huge truck or SUV.

  • I wish Suzuki offered a small 6 on it's SX4.

  • @trainlinezoo I wish Suzuki had picked a different name.

  • finally! the future is here!

  • I had an 87 Wrangler, was that same engine that came in the 53 Ambassador?

  • No, that engine, the 252.6, was last used in 1956. The 258 or 4.2 liter engine began as the 232, an optional engine on the 1964 Rambler Classic. They also had various other 6 cylinder engines, used for up to 20 years or more.

  • Those car were ahead of their time! Too Bad AMC went under!!

  • Yep, you're right! They were what we now call "crossover vehicles"! When Chrysler bought AMC in 1987, the Eagle 4-wheel-drive cars were soon dropped, and the Jeep/Eagle division was created. At least they kept the legendary straight 6 engine, which was used right up to 2006 as the optional engine in the Jeep Wrangler.
