I agree with Felice 100%. I have watched professional female fights live, and they are just as intense, and just as exciting as a man. Even if one girl is so much better than the rest, it's only a matter of time until some rise to the top to challenge that. Just look at Anderson Silva and GSP. These guys have been the top dogs for a long time, yet there is still a market for them. Much respect to anyone who gets in the cage.

@Acidreign666 That is true, but the biggest problem is the business side, how many people watching the UFC are hardcore MMA (not UFC) fans, not many right. They may not all appreciate true MMA since in a Womens fight it is obviously less violent and looks more like a sparring session. Then compare that to mens fights, TKO's and KO's are so much more common (and the TKO's aren't like womens, most are BRUTAL!!

For the shit fights that the UFC has been airing lately, they really should take in females. Over half of UFC fights are boring due to stupid refereeing, if you watch Strikeforce's referreing that's actually good cause they don't let fights drag on on mindless humping like the UFC. Girl fights WILL help any promotion cause they actually come to FIGHT, i've never seen a boring female MMA fight or any combat sport for that matter.

Dana is right.  You can't introduce women's mma into the UFC at this point. The UFC is trying to be the best of the best, and the women's mma isn't evolved enough to support it yet. Women in MMA shouldn't worry about the UFC until they have a real presence in the smaller shows, and prove it is sustainable, which I think one day it will. They need to fulfill the opportunity already presented to them and surpass it.

Actually I dislike the idea of it. One the one hand its like Felice said. if there are events for women, eventually they will get better, thats not the problem I see. Its just very hard to watch women beat up each other, giving away their beauty because of the sport. This is much more an issue for female athletes then for male.

You could argue, that its their own choice, but if people don't wannt to see it, its not happening anytime soon.

I think it is time that women become popular in mma, or other fighting sports. That would inspire women today on something that is also good to tone up their muscles, and defend against attackers if they need to. Then there would be less fat women in the world as well.

Felice is right about women's fighting in general. I think that if UFC did a serious market survey about women's fighting, then they would learn that there IS a market for it. You won't have top flight women's mma until you get enough women involved. They can't dedicate themselves to the sport until there is enough money in it to sustain themselves. I think UFC should SPONSOR talented females until they can generate enough market to support themselves.

Every time a company tries to implement female fighters into a card, they go out of business. I wish women could fight in the ufc, i really do. But, it's just not a viable marketing strategy right now.
