I try to loop runner all my knots now. I gain further reach with a steel biner on them to. I gain time with extra ones. I never leve the ground without 2 or 3 at least. Overall that was trees you were lowering down. Not limbs lol. Great job.
How does one locate the "Balance Point"? Most Center of Gravity (CG) calculations fail due to the unknown green log weight variations across the span of the length.
Same problem in top-rigging for crane removal and overhead rigging - the dreaded flip we have all seen.
just try picking up a limb on the ground at the balance point til you get the hang of it.. most live limbs have a balance point near 2/3 way from cut to the tip. dead limbs much closer to the cut

Every time you pick up a piece of brush, try picking it up at the balance point.. deadwood is much different ...
