  • wow this is a great vid. very helpful

  • thankyou for sharing..

  • you always give me hope!

  • I love when you do your bible readings. You always have such a good message to go along with it. I wish i could find a preacher that has a personality and views like yours. You're so beautiful johnny on the inside and out. I really feel that God has blessed me with your videos and that i found your channel for a reason.

  • lolWUT

  • This has really made me think. About good and bad things. About what I choose to do and have control of that I can change. Thank you for posting this!

  • I really like to watch Your videos...it's interesting what are Yoy saying here on YouTube...

  • Beutiful!

  • about appearance. You hate the world and things of the world that are fleshly and evil. Satan is tricking me everytime I give into these behaviors and hurt myself. God loves our INSIDE. It's what really, really matters. :) HUGS

  • No matter what we may look like. John the baptist was called "the greatest among men" by God. He lived in the woods with no house, he dressed in camel skins and ate wild locusts. He had no fancy clothes or worldly status. Jesus himself was born in a barn! Much MUCH comes out of lowly positions. Humbleness, love, kindness, sincerity, these are what God looks for. Please remember, and God, please help me to remember also ( I preach for myself first) that you aren't concerned

  • He doesnt' want us to be unhealthy, we are suppossed to take care of our bodies and treat them as temples, but God cares very little about our outward appearance. This is worldly and of Satan. And when we are engaging in our behaviors, we are not hearing God's voice, but Satan's. Satan is of the world and in the world. He is behind the thinspiration, the pressure, the vanity, the tricks. When we keep our eyes on God, we feel secure because we know that God loves us and wants us to himself.

  • There are those kind eyes again! I am so glad to see you are still going to church, still studying and learning. The bible is so helpful. Do you know what the word BIBLE means? "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth" Just thought I would mention it. Johnny, you are definately on the right track here. God doesnt' care about our fleshly bodies, whether we are thin, heavy, big, small, tall, short, beautiful or dull. He is concerned with the spirit. Our insides, our hearts.

  • You are such a Sweetheart....God Bless you!

  • hugs, thank you for watching!

  • Hugs, I value your opinion my dear. Thank you. God promotes us with comfort... for you.... 1 Corthintians... great opening passage on comfort. Love you.

  • I want a new body. :( I am not behaving as though I do...Hmmmm.....

  • You're up late my dear! Well, my reaction to this because I am in the same boat... we get what we want by earning what we work for... so I guess right now I must ask: Whose your Boss!? (not asking you personally, giving off my reactive opinion - just think about this one... good question to ponder). My Boss isn't always so Holy... hense the split shift.

  • Thank you so much for sharing that with us. You have no idea how much that has helped me Johnny! I sent it to one of my pastors who knows about my ED...hope thats ok. I am praying for you. I found this poem i wrote on EDs a few years ago and it doesn't really talk about God in it, however, it does talk about how anorexia makes you strive for something you will never achieve. I will read in on cam and send it to you -

    xoxo, Bekah

  • I have missed you the last two days. I have been like a stalker on your page seeing if you were updating and okay. I think you are just so special! so I guess I can't get enough? I am delighted you sent it to your Pastor, thank you so much. I can't wait to hear your poem!

  • I really want my heavenly body from God.

I'm really working on it, thanks for sharing this, i like it when you talk about the bible.

It is to accept what God has given you. I have faith in you Johnny♥

  • Love to you dear. Your Heavenly body will come when your flesh leaves this earth and soul goes to Heaven but in order to get there we must believe and serve God as best as we can. I am sure that by respecting our bodies we are supporting what God wants so recovery is a very good thing in so many ways. I'm trying to remind myself of this because I feel it's very important to remember. I do not wish to label EDs as a sin. They are a challenge that God can get us through... Keep faith and hope!

  • Thanks I will try :)..I don't pray and serve God a much as I should. But that's going to change. ♥

  • Hey Johnny! I was just following up after reading The Shack. You must read this. The book is simple, but so uplifting. It has helped me in transition from an eating-disordered mind b/c it makes me put my suffering into perspective with the love of God. I feel like I want to be closer to God, and for a long time, I knew that I was pushing myself away from God, but I didn't want to acknowledge it. This book helped me to see a loving, accepting God, rather than a judgmental one.

  • That is amazing, seriously a testimony. You should write the author and I should read it. Pronto. It's in my living room, I will try to start this week. Do you think you would be willing to write the author?

  • I would love to write the author! I would love to be another testimony to the power the message of this book has. I was a little skeptical before I read it, so it was even more surprising.

  • If you would be open to sharing with me I would love to read it after you write it. The more testimonies the better. Some make it on their websites and imagine how many lives can become hopeful from a testimony like yours?

  • Amen! Thanks, yet again, for sharing, Johnny! I have been reflecting on Philippians 4:10-13 recently. Peace!

  • I am going to have to read that one. i will get back to you soon after I do. Thank you! Peace to you too honey.

  • hands up love it... what a great way to start my day. i feel the faith in God's strength. thank you for this referral.

  • How do you connect religion and sexuality? Just curios about your thoughts...

  • It is one thing I do not have direct thoughts and connections too. I believe that we are all sexual beings and human sexuality is a healthy thing. There are many things in the Bible that I do not agree with in terms of sexuality. This is such a controversal topic that I avoid discussing it or even putting interest in looking into it for my own sanity and spiritual stability as well as others. I feel this way about multiple Biblica topics.

  • This helped me so much today Johnny.

"Enough is never enough" SO true.

  • Amen. I'm glad it could help. It really made me think.

  • Also just keep holding onto the promise that our home is in heaven, this world is temporary..and destroying our bodies because of things that have happened to us in the past that are indulging in the world to find a quick fix. The only 'fix' is God.

  • Yes, hold it close to my heart my friend. You know as i mature in recovery and mentality I begin to value things like this. At first you think, oh well nothing matters - just keep up the destrtuction but then time passes, life is wasted and health deteriorates and you start to look at things different. Is life really worth thriving for a body that will never fully be what our minds may want it to be? We must find things more important than EDs and switch focus, prioritize these new things & live

  • The world will pass away and everything along with it that is of the flesh. I support you Johnny, and gaining weight is scary at first, but just remember that your body isn't you, your spirit and heart is you..your body is just a vessel.

  • YES, so true Sabrina, so true. I couldn't agree more. Spot on truth. You said this beautifully. I find a lot of hope that through God I can find peace with myself and my body, however it's meant to be. People aren't perfect nor will we ever be. God wants us to find comfort in Him not in material, not in flesh and flesh really is a gift. It's part of the package God created for us to cover our bones. What is a body without flesh? a carcass...like the Bible says God can breath life into dry bones

  • Johnny, this is a wonderful video!! We will never have perfect earthly bodies, but we are called to take care of the bodies we do have because the temple of the holy spirit resides in us. They are just vessels carrying our souls. We don't have a soul. We ARE a soul. We HAVE bodies, so we have to take care of them to take care of the soul. I draw strength from these verses and they keep me motivated in recovery, because I know one day being thin won't matter.

  • I just adore you Sabrina, simply adore you.

  • Thank you Johnny, you know I feel the same about you!!!

  • Extremely thought provoking...

Thank you for sharing this :) I'm not Christian, but I took a lot from it, and have some thinking to do myself. Although my issues don't parallel, I'm realizing some things, and a lot of what you have to say is truly helpful in my own struggles and recovery. I've had the opportunity to watch more of your videos, and I can honestly say that my eyes have been opened to a lot. Thank you :)

    Namaste~

  • Right now I am giving gratitude that our life paths have crossed. You have a beautiful soul.
