Aliens couldn't really be using this...it wouldn't work. Think of it like this. If the aliens are in a ship made of a metamaterial that can cause light to go around it, of course we couldn't see the ship. The problem is they also couldn't see us. There would be no visible light getting to their eyes which are in the ship. Unless they had infrared cameras or thermal or something? Idk how a person could see inside the cloak. The idea is cloaking.

ok, so does chemtrails have anything to do with this? i noticed barium and other metals that the chemtrail conspiracies says is being pumped into the air are some of the same listed as usefull in this video.

i could see how it could be used to notice changes a antigravity or stealth device would make as it passed threw the barium and irons by a satalite or possibly dish/tower monitering the current in the air.

@alaizterdidurmom maybe you would.... but the main issue of cloaking is, that in case light-waves are guided around the object to hide, no light waves get into the cloaking area and none get outta there :-p ... thus i guess its not very pleasing to be in the girls locker room without seeing anything outside your invisibility-cloak... especially the naked girls ^^

@CanadianStoner1001 if you use a one-way-mirror set-up to guide the light around an object to hide, you`ll get phase distortion as well. The reason, why scientists use continously varying refractive-index-profiles for invisibility-cloaks, is just because it preserves phase information in case the refractive-index-profile is calculated by means of a transformation to a curved space (isotropic) , that would cause the same light trajectories as the refractive-index-profil in a flat space.

@jazzsowhat84 Lol i was just relating one-way mirrors to invisibility in the context of they are both relatively possible. I never mean to say that one-way mirror = invisibility. Im sure plasma would be useful in cloaking applications.

but the example of "one way mirror" was to close to the problem of "watching outside, while being invisible", i stated, so this tempted me to comment on this effect.. this problem is for invisibility-technology not only a technical problem, but also already a theoretical one :-) but human spirit is creative. god knows, what freaky tricks some noodles will puzzle out some day :D to elude that issue :)
