On February 12, 2005 the Windsor Tower a concrete and steel reinforced 32 story skyscraper in Madrid, Spain, burned for nearly 24 hours, and was gutted completely by the fire. Nevertheless, the Windsor Tower did not collapse in on itself, in a free-fall fashion. I am positively sure that the laws of Physics are relatively consistent in Madrid as they are in New York City. I am not convinced by the official explanation behind what caused the WTC Salomon Brothers Building #7 to collapse.

@SmoothOperator33310 Ok in the design phase the WTC was designed to take the impact of a 707 on final approach. Well a 707 is 25% smaller and approach speeds for a 707 is 128 knots. That is hardly the same as an airplane that is 25% larger traveling at over 400 knots. The way the towers collapsed has to do with the way they were constructed, a tube within a tube but it would take hours to try and explain that.

A simple exercise in critical thinking. WTC North tower is hit at 8:46am between the 93-88th floors. 17 minutes later the south tower is hit at 9:03 between the 77th and 85th floors. The South tower collapses after only 56 minutes, collapsing first even though it is the 2nd building hit. The North tower collapses after 102 minutes. The reason for this discrepancy is the South towers damaged section had to support a much greater weight than the north tower so it failed much faster.

Nevertheless, the Windsor Tower did not collapse in on itself, in a free-fall fashion. I am positively sure that the laws of Physics are relatively consistent in Madrid as they are in New York City. @SmoothOperator33310 Ok in the design phase the WTC was designed to take the impact of a 707 on final approach. Well a 707 is 25% smaller and approach speeds for a 707 is 128 knots. That is hardly the same as an airplane that is 25% larger traveling at over 400 knots. The way the towers collapsed has to do with the way they were constructed, a tube within a tube but it would take hours to try and explain that.

I have also seen the video footage and those so-called aircraft sliced through the steel girders and those 48 core steel I-beam columns like they were butter. Did you see how the aircraft just slipped right into the South WTC Tower, without any resistance whatsoever. A simple exercise in critical thinking. WTC North tower is hit at 8:46am between the 93-88th floors. 17 minutes later the south tower is hit at 9:03 between the 77th and 85th floors. The South tower collapses after only 56 minutes, collapsing first even though it is the 2nd building hit. The North tower collapses after 102 minutes. The reason for this discrepancy is the South towers damaged section had to support a much greater weight than the north tower so it failed much faster.

I might suggest you read a series of papers called "The Towers Lost and beyond" there were written my MIT civil engineers. They do a pretty good job of explaining the how’s and whys the towers collapsed. It's pretty heavy on math but most lay people should be able to follow it. Read them than reconsider spouting this nonsense.
