well, he's very comfortable with me, and really likes people in general. He's a very friendly bird, and loves to be showered with attention.

They do bite if provoked, I think pretty much any animal will. However beaking is also part of how they show affection, and explore things (it's somewhat akin to a dog smelling, and licking you) and that does involve a gentle bite of sorts, it doesn't hurt though. They also like rough housing, like a dog does.

Fortunately their bites don't hurt as much as most birds, even the little parakeets I've had can bite harder.
