  • awesome thanks :D

    This tutorial was very helpful!

  • Gr8 tutorial...but in REALLY dont understand the shapes of d lip syncs...example>> HOW IS D SO WIDE OPEN...if i say dog...my mouth wouldnt open so wild..could you plz help me understand that.. :/

  • Thanks a lot! This was the tutorial that I needed :D.

  • That's brilliant - so easy to do and with very good results.

This has been the most useful video I've watched today - thanks a lot!

  • THANK YOU SIRRRRR!!!

  • @Kinjaffa You're welcome, glad to be of assistance. :)

  • OMG thank you sooooo much LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!

  • @Ty8081234 You're very welcome!

  • try drawing each frame for each word being spoken. it takes a long time and I was very glad to find a program that synced it all up. I have dome "manual"... this is awesome. the vid was helpful too. thank you.

  • spot on, works perfectly, thank a bunch, mate...when I go to animation school I'll be ahead of the class...thanks again

  • good on you mate!

  • really cool. it works like magic. flash should please wake up.

  • ok after i done that how do i add it to my character?

  • how is this considered "automatic"? Looks pretty manual to me.

  • @jinko17 The setting up is manual, but the software lines up the key elements/images to the audio automatically. In essence, you need to provide eight drawings and the software puts them on the right frames for you.

  • @jinko17 over the course of a cartoon it helps keep you from having to place thousands of drawings in frames while listening hundreds of times to snippets of audio and guessing where the different mouths go. where is that not awesome? you didnt think it would draw it for you, did you?

  • Very helpful. Thank you. Good Post.

  • @vinaytube You're welcome!

  • In the end when you say that I should press modify lip-sync mapping I can't find it.

  • can you show how to do more than one character?

  • Thanks you veru much!

  • You're welcome.

  • Thank you for this tutorial. I've owned this for 2 weeks and this software is by far the most twilight zone software I've ever owned. I cannot believe the manufacturer couldn't find 1 person in the company to create a user friendly tutorials for it's users. Whenever I get at least 1 item down pact, I'll post tutorials & that usually isn't my thing but they leave a girl no choice :) good luck to everyone also in the toon boom learning curve struggle.

  • Thanks and you're welcome.

  • @supalena I never heard any sound. I love these tech geeks that take you through 150 steps and don't know how to look at their video before they post it and see if it does what it's supposed to.

Thanks for the warning, by the way - I think I won't take the Toon Boom plunge but will just keep laboring away in Flash.

  • Hey! I'm not a tech geek, I'm a bumbling guitar player! ;)

  • Please help me :D

How can i put this in the middel of an animation?

  • NICE TUTORIAL,, everything worked for me except when i finished and clicked play,, the mouth was moving except it was behind the face,, is there a way i can make the mouth appear in front of the characters face?

Again great tutorial, you explained everything and jumped right to the piont

  • Sorry mate, I haven't used this for a long time! Maybe check their forums?

  • Cool, Thanks

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL this tutorial made my 10 hours manual lyp-syncing look dum -.- thx, now it will only take hmmm 2 minutes?:D

  • You're welcome. :)

  • Comment removed

  • the tutorial is very good, you can improve a lot. Very useful.

  • Rightio!

  • Very Helpful, thanks Nick - but ... you gotta edit things down ...

I started giggling when you forgot to have the sound turned on ... and started narrating the process, with a long pause, of turning on the sound on your PC: edit stuff like that right out, wrecks the train of thought.

  • OK.

  • I'm glad to hear that! Cheers mate.

  • Thank you, very helpful!

  • You are welcome.

  • nice one , good tutorial , its a shame there isnt one for the mac version 4. ah well...

  • Sorry!

  • Great tutorial, but the "Modify Lip-Sync Mapping..." button isn't there between "Edit Sound..." and "Stop All Sounds"! I did everything right but it doesn't show up!!! What is up with that???

  • Your best bet would be to try their forums. I haven't used this program for liek ages!

  • WHEN I DRAW MY PEN TURNS INTO A FUCKIN HAND EVERY TIME IM TRYING TO DRAW WTF!!! please help this is SOO irritating!

  • Please, don't get upset. The problem just lies in you being a fucking moron.

Go back to drawing on paper and when you can do that, try the program again. One tip though, 'take it reeeaal slow'.

  • HAHAHAHHAH, I just imagined the comment you posted in your voice and it sounded HILARIUS. Lil brittish or whatever ;)

And by the way I fixed the problem, macromedia flash is much esier though.

  • Quality.

  • Hold Ctrl then click SpaceBar and it should clear the hand right out.Same goes for photoshop hand errors(or grabber)

  • You made a great Tutorial-I've never animated anything, but I've been working with this program for weeks trying to learn as I go and you filled in the gaps for me-Great Accent,by the way-Cheers

  • Thank you! Could you do the same thing for other toon boom features? I'm having a hard time figuring out how to use different camera views, for example (panning, zooming in a scene, etc.). I'm brand new to toonboom, and your teaching style was very helpful!

  • Certainly mate. But I have a fair bit on my plate at the moment, so it'll be a while.

But thanks for your kind words. :-)

  • is this a flash pllugin ?

  • Very helpful. Thanks!

  • Well presumably it looks bad because he drew it in two minutes using a mouse, but it was just to give people an idea of how to work it. I found it helpful.
