Normaly I cover my patiant with a sheet befor poping the side window, it looked like you were useing a clear plastic shield? Is this normal in the UK?
This appears to me to be more related towards firefighters than paramedics. I know that in the USA paramedics are not licensed to use jaws of life (those big claws they use to cut metal). But this appears to be in Europe and mabey they do use them, dunno.
Hi Rippy. This is UK ambulance training. We incorporate this day to allow Paramedics an insight into processes involved in space creation. The students do get opportunity to experience Holmatro and other kit, but would certainly not be expected to use it at any stage operationally.
Very nicely done video - great to see a video of this sort of stuff centring on the ambulance service and not trumpton for once! Did you managed to get footage of the rest of the para course, or just playing with squirters day?
Thanks for the praise, but it should be heaped on a friend of mine who produces these for us. Students walk away with a copy each on completion of their course. The video is predominantly taken during the trauma module.

Thats not true at all. We have several EMS units in Ark that run extrication and rescue Rippy and there is nothing that says you cannot.
