Hmm, Queen of the Damned? I have yet to see that movie. I actually found Earshot by walking into FYE one day and kinda scanning through CDs till I found these guys, gave a listen, liked them and that was that.
This song is good but how the hell is Queen of the Damned one of your favorite movies? That movie was horrible. The only good thing about it was the soundtrack, which was excellent.

Even being the vampire fan I was 10+ years ago I couldn't justify the ridiculous plot and delivery of the movie. Queen of the Damned Book was my all-time favorites of Anne Rice.The best part of the movie was the soundtrack. I love how the singer Wil is in complete mesh with the rest of the band. They breath life and emotion into every syllable and note that is played or sung. They make you truly experience the song in its' finest essence. Thank you for posting this version with the lyrics. I know the sound effects at the beginning of both songs are similar, but the effect in this song is made with strings and also only last about 15 seconds. The intro you are referring to continues the effect for almost 2 minutes. Exactly the same, are they?

You'll notice they killed characters that didn't die, and that they cut out some characters outright and tried to cram 3 books into 2 hours worth of movie. The soundtrack was far greater than the movie, and the book will forever be better than the movie

You really should take a look at folklore and how vast this vampire phenomenon is in so many cultures. I don't even think you understood the vampires in the movie and their connection with certain locations. I like the Queen of the Damned movie... If I don't think about the book. I like the characters and the filming was great in my opinion. It just wasn't Queen of the Damned.
Now on the subject of Twilight.... I like the books, just like not love or anything like that. I personally think that the movies butchered their respective books.

@Darfaultner I totally agree. Interview with the Vampire was relatively accurate to the book but Queen of the Damned failed as a movie. The only thing good about it is the soundtrack.

Stephanie Meyer took all that was brilliant about vampires, and raped it. The fact that New Moon is the fastest selling movie of all time is an abomination. I liked the director's view on the characters , a thing I didn't like in the Twilight movie ( the book is 20 times better ,I read all 4 volumes in a week), Edward would have been perfect if he had the presentation that Lestat had ....I think that can be appreciated ( the vision I mean )
I admit the plot sucked, but the songs for the soundtrack and the personages were great:)
ohhh....and please do not judge the video/song solely on you idea about the movie QotD ...it's not fair...

I liked it.... :(.... I think the characters were perfect, they seem more "realistic " than other vampires I had seen... even though the plot was kinda predictable....

Being better than Twilight isn't saying much, besides it could have been a million times better, bad casting, rediculous story line and an improbable "love story" make for a horrible movie called Queen of the Damned! i wish i had more hands so i could give that movie four tumbs down

I am not going to argue with you because you are too young. I'm not even sure if you understand the whole thing. You really should take a look at folklore and how vast this vampire phenomenon is in so many cultures. I don't even think you understood the vampires in the movie and their connection with certain locations. And the reason I mentioned Twilight is that kids like you are mostly into such stuff and are not able to appreciate epic movies like this. Anne Rice is a real genius. Love her!

Well look, i am not a kid for one thing, secondly i don't need anything more than what i've seen to say that Queen Of the Damned was a peice of crap movie. Anne Rice's books are amazing and i could watch Interview wth the Vampire a billion times, but i really just cannot stand that movie. Oh yeah, i wish people wouldn't lump a younger age group with things like movies and tv shows and bands, there are plenty of us that can't stand Twilight.
