Korea has a huge advantage because they are trained in Urban settings, Forests, Mountain Ranges, Cold freezing winter, mud pits... Im not a hater but U.S is not prepared for warfare right now. It is because U.S army has been in the Middle east using counter terrorism methods and peacemethods. They are not ready or trained for full scale battles. Many U.S equipment needs to be fixed from the Middle East.

Yeah well...Korea doesn't need American troops. Seriously, they need none to face the Chinese and North Koreans. China would never think of fighting the Koreans, arguably the second strongest military presence in the East. Including reserves, SK has numerically the same size as China's military, and has in general much more advanced army.

North Korea = Largest standing army. China = Largest air force. I don't think SK could stop them if they both came over the line. Not like it'd be in the 50's, but they would be hard pressed. And I am Korean, so no hating, just being real.

US air force is FAR superior then china's almost not even comparable. china would not back up NK. NK would lose a war in few months they would run out of food,oil,supply's. only reason they haven't been wiped out is cause Seoul would be flattened by mortars which is bad, SK is a world economic power. also b/c they're a nuclear threat. get your facts straight.

@Er1cYun agreeed I mean China and NK has no advantage to even try to lit a match for smoke. China will be economically isolated if it takes any part in the NK and SK struggle. North Korea? They do have a large number of army but I assume the war (if it has to take place even tho i hope not) will last for 2 days, because there is so low supply of food available for the army.

@lexlee94 Moreover, SK really prepared for any possible military action from NK which developed a lot of SK's weapons and equipments (lightly depended on US's weapon tech. in my opinion since it is the most outstanding in that particular field) I mean SK is ready. SK also has very close relations to US and built closer relations through FTA and KATUSA. NK and China will be stopped by SK soldiers and US soldiers trained to cooperate as one army. @mcord21 yes, that's what allies are for, and South Korea has backed up the US ever since the Korean War. Koreans were the 2nd largest number of troops deployed in the Vietnam War next to the US. They had a kill ratio of 25:1 and were respected by their American counterparts and feared by the Viet Congs. Korea is a fully capable nation of defending itself. They lead one of the biggest armies in the world.
