@Drunkendunker I'm not british and for your information only americans (and maybe canadians) do call it soccer. The rest of the world call it football and some languages adaptated the name like "fútbol", "futebol", "fußball" and those which adapted call it football, only translated. Honestly why should hundreds of countries change the name to something no one call instead of one or two countries change it? I think is logical.

@tuggaboy Unfortunately you are misinformed. American Football is extremely popular in other countries. Whenever we send one of our games overseas the game sets records. London wants an NFL franchise, Mexico City wants a franchise, Canada wants a franchise. The only reason our Country doesn't dominate in the World stage of soccer is because none of our great athletes aspire to soccer or feel challenged by it.
