BTW The only "minor" error I made due to space constraints, was not specifying that abba's "officially" planned and definitely forced (Aggy's pregnancy) absence from touring America in '77 was NOT for the entire year; but for MOST of it(Mar.-Dec.). They could have "planned" and been in America from Jan. to mid Mar. - before both the pregnancy and DQ's rise to #1 chart status - but instead went to Europe, U.K., and Australia.

WOW!! There's isn't anything I wrote that mentions ABBA being scared about America,touring, or whatever. Even the word "scared" isn't mentioned. To anyone who read and understood my postings - what any "educated" person could easily do -... It's OBVIOUS... I never wrote about abba having a "scared" mindset...Not even the issue of abba's MOTIVES(money,wealth,pride,etc­.) was mentioned. One can't even infer motives to abba's actions in my story. The "mania" that should have arrived here (U.S.) in '77 after the smash hit DQ shot to #1 on the charts in the spring of that year...NEVER CAME!!...Why?!.."Cause ABBA failed to follow up with a whirlwind tour of America that year and lost their marketing momentum. In '78 no tour; and the '79 tour was "too little, too late"...They would never "conquer" America. So what happened in '77? Why no tour? The answer....

So DQ's smashing success on the U.S. charts in the spring of '77 that kicked the door to America wide open.....WENT FOR NOT!!....Agnetha(God bless her) had a bun in the oven.(LOL) History changed forever. ABBA MANIA = One of the VERY few things 70's American kids would never experience.

Great song. I saw them In 1976 at Pine Knob in Clarkston, Mich. I don"t remember who they opend for but they sang this song to close out their show. They were good. I sat in the front row on the side stage, as they left, I stuck out my right hand, Frida and Agnetha touched my hand, smiled at me and said something to me in Swedish. I didn"t cared at the time, but they did smiled and touch me. WHAT AN EXPRIENCE I'LL NEVER FORGET.
