@latinpianist I´m just having a little trouble picking it up, but I was able to write it down pretty accurately on paper to be able to practice it! Thanks though! Viva el Latin Jazz!
these videos are amazing, god bless you alot brother, im starting to play piano in my new church now and my brother couldnt teach me much, but he taught me enough to start ykno, but im gonna keep watching your videos and learning what i can so i can get better too, thanks again brother, and god bless
these progressions can be used in all coritos practically. the only thing you have to watch out for is that some coritos may change.for example if are playing on Cmaj, for coritos you would start on Am and then E and then back to Am. (we're still playing on Cmaj). Some coritos go to Dm in the coro.Like "siento que el espirtu santo se esta deramando en mi corazon..." inthe "este corito es" song. some dont even go to the the dm they just stay on Am E.THis applies for every single corito out there.
After seeing Mark De Clive Lowe, Live, I really wanted to learn jazz improv, and ever since i've been slowly self teaching myself and this video is the exact sound i was going for!
Thank you VERY much, you have assisted my goal in learn jazz piano by 8357945 times.
God Bless you JC. My name is Luis Garcia, jimmy garcia's brother and Mr. Piano's uncle..I have been playing the keyboard now for 4months and have learned a lot from u and my nephew thanks for making it so understanding....i have been playing the guitar for 35yrs but always wanted to learn the keys i thank God for your talents and of course me nephew...also i'm fosforito's father..
God bless you! Its a blessing having you comment on my videos. I know you Mr. Garcia cause I've seen you playing your guitar at Pst. Jimmys church(whom i appreaciate a lot).I did hear that you've been playing for a long time. I really hope that you can learn the keys. If there's anything i can do to help let me know. By the way Fosforito is great blessing to our church "ya que usamos todas sus alabanzas para nuestras pantomimas de nuestra iglesia" my sister loves his songs! Praise God!
He likes but as African as he might look, He is very stiff when it comes to dancing Bachata and Salsa, but he will get there one day. Gracias por responder
ur a good salsa pianist and teacher, I am a newbie to piano. Are you using an "acoustic piano" tone setting for this?. I am trying to emulate that fat piano sound of yours.., but im having no luck I have heard this same piano tone on Luis Enrique's and Jerry Riveras, cds... Really apreciate if u could give me an idea on this.. my acoustic piano tone settings sound to sharp or too high.... your videos are great..Thanks for ur videos...
yeah i know what you mean. sorry, i thought it was another videos. but i found out it was this video after i posted the comment but i know what your talking about. i dont really enjoy this piano myselft.
See...I am a classical pianist..playing concerts everywhere and yet..don t know anything about salsa...since I travel a lot in south american countries I feel studid sometimes being so ignorant about their music...sooo thanks to you I am learning about this great music..I will closely work on your other videos..thanks again for sharing :)
Nice and clear instructions for beginners, who may be future pros. The four chord progression used, makes for a nice turnaround in the keys of both C and D (not transposed)
im a rookie. a beginner. thats what i am. i can play transpose or not transpose. i do it so others can learn to play on Cmaj. Thanks for watching my videos anyways.
Hello JC! Is a good thing you have a chance to teach people how to play salsa and Jazz for free. But I still don't see the reason why teach people on your keyboard transposed. A student needs to understand the dynamics of learning how to play acoustic piano, there is no transposing technically. Learn some teaching dynamics so students may learn to appreciate what a good technique is. You need to be able to teach piano with no transposing chords.
Listen. thanks for the compliment. I enjoy every part of this and im glad you watch my videos. The only transposed videos are the first 2 or 3. The rest are normal. The reason behind that is that my piano at church could not be used normally if i didnt use the transpose so i had to automatically use it. For some reason my piano was sounding distorted and i wanted good sound eventhough it still sounds bad but now that i got my new piano im not doing.
Hi JC! I am very glad you take critism with enthusiasm. However you are still transposed on the video you tell that you were transposed, You should have your transpose at 00 not +4 nor -4
then you will have your piano as a acoustic piano.
hey JC, u r an awesome salsa pianist. im 16 yrs old and i wanna learn piano, so i learned to play ur songs thnx 2 u. my mom has no idea how i learned to play salsa songs on the piano outta nowhere, so, i kinda look like a genius wen in fact ur the genius! oh well, just wanted to say thnx for everything. keep uploading ur vids, im liking them. l8r bro.
thats what im here for. im so happy to hear that you are learning from me. my teachings can have a lots of mistakes but i like to get to the point. you are the type of people that make me continue adding more videos. thanks again.
God bless you JC!!! I think he's referring to your left hand when you play bass....when you hang your thumb low and play with the other fingers. I see MrPiano does that alot and it looks so uncomfortable!!! But if it works for you then good!! But right hand positioning MUST be correct, it helps for speed.
Oh. Well, thats the way i learned. There is no other way i would play that. I guess im so used to playing it like that that it is so confortable. Sammy taught me some stuff so im guessing he learned just like me.
Well JC.....First of all, God bless bro!! I think he's refering to the fingering in your left hand when you play bass.... like when you hang your thumb low and play with the other fingers instead. MrPiano does that alot and it looks so uncomfortable!! But if it works for you then good! But right hand positioning MUST be correct, it helps for speed. :)
Hey JC, can you do a tutorial on a song.. the one that goes "I got a joy like a river".. "Yo tengo un gozo en mi alma"... I need to learn songs like that, but in a gospel way. Pleeeease!!!!! God bless bro.
Boy I wish I could find the sheet music for this. I just can´t get that rhythm between the right and the left hands.

i love this video my question is can i use this visible chords in the Am corito format? like "este corito es" in Am.
can i use it in " siento que espiritu Santo se esta derramando en mi corazon" is it possible to use it there?
