@spungebobskuarepants Mario was a plumber in the stone age because in the Episode "Mama Luigi", Luigi claims that they went to Yoshi's Island for Vacation (Which is Why the Show lasted only 13 Episodes. There are Jamacian singers because The creators of this show thought it fitted the Island theme. The Island is set in the stone age, becuause DiC also thought it fitted the island theme. Video Game based TV shows do work, but they aren't made anymore because they were made in the wrong hands.
