  • My eye-fi sends pics a whole lot faster.....but the software is very picky

  • good explanation about how it works. I was pretty mystified about that. The 8G card is on sale for $50 right now.

  • or you could just take out the sd card and put it in straight away to see your pictures and choose the ones you want uploaded

  • when i first heard about this i thought it was a wifi adapter for the computer, if you have an sd card reader, but no wifi. boy was i wrong!

  • My mobile phone can be used as a portable wi-fi hotspot (it's an Android handset), so my wireless transfers work everywhere! I dont need to have my laptop with me

  • @TheSharpeMan that's awesome!

  • that is for lazy ppl, actually its easier to me to take the card out and put it in slot. The automatic upload of the pics is useless, unless you want all the shitty pictures on ur Facebook or flickr. And the process of transfer is very long.

  • is the Canon EOS Rebel XS eye fi compatible?

  • how much slower is this than slipping your card in manually?

  • @ccskatepark Slipping it in manually... Just the tip?

  • @tankslapper ... i mean time to upload from card slipped into computer slot vs time required to upload wirelessly. Poking a card into a computer is simple and fast ...and the transfer speed might even be faster(?)

  • i never go home

  • .....and it only took 4 and a half minutes!!!

  • it kills your battery

  • Hgod review ,but man is time to upgrade your equipment like that old light and mac, progress ,is only my sugestion

  • if i put the Eye-fi in a dsi and touch a picture would it transfer to the computer

  • This a*hole thinks he has charisma. He's annoying as a grammar school magician.

  • Geek.

  • That took forever. I could've taken that photo, transferred it to my computer, and uploaded it in under a minute. What a waste of money...

  • did one pic really take 5 mins? i have a canon t1i...if i take a pic in large and or raw format will it take even longer than that for 1 pic.

  • honey i shrunk the kids

  • Eyefi =Big brother is watching you! ((O)) .. ((O))

  • save your dollars! buy a 16GB SD card from Walmart, and a simple SD Card reader! much faster! this guys a joke!

  • @thegcdirtrider your the joke who buys sd cards from Walmart! haha!

  • Comment removed

  • You must the camera set to a very high resolution because it usually takes a few seconds only to upload to your computer.

  • 5 minutes? What a joke!

  • Does that thing work both ways? Like could I give my old PDA access to my PCs harddrive?

  • Hmm...expensive, an extra drain on the camera battery, and takes several minutes to transfer the pics. I could do this the old fashion way (e.g., take the memory card out of the camera and transfer the pics). much faster. Worthless product.

  • @kamaboko1: that's exactly what I said

  • i came here to see an eye-fi review not some guy dreaming about all electric amusment parks

  • so for how many years have you been going through puberty? you look 22 and you still have youre voice cracking come on man make those ballz drop

  • Video uploads?

  • wow Chris must think we are stupid. It's wireless...not connected! ha ha we know!! it's stupid to think that we don't actually

  • 5 min 1 pic? i will be all my life to up load my 4 gb card.

  • 0:14 - 1:56 for it to upload.. Try to fill in the blanks -.-

  • Shoot with a Sony? NO EYE FI FOR YOU!!

  • i know this is an old video, but i was curious if the card (or the new x2) will allow you to continue to take photos and video while still transfering files to the computer?

  • ahahahahah 'cheese' in backgrnd chat :)

  • lol right there dodddo u see it guyy?

  • kinda slow

  • sounds like you have a blast with your tech stuff, +2800 vids... wow thats more than failblog

  • that man fathered my child

  • mate have u ever seen a pussy in your life?!?

  • @HitHotProductions only in internet

  • @ipablo16 LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • @HitHotProductions Hes been married twice you douche, stop trolling.

  • What did you say there at the very end... your 'sign off' when you put up three fingers?

  • @Gijera it goes back to his old tech tv days.

  • Can you please tell me where you got your pottery tumbler you drank out of in the video? My husband and I love pottery dishes and I would love love to get a couple of those! Thanks.

  • Great Review... I Always enjoy your Animated Explanations of Tech related materials.. U Da Man Brah.... Schteve

  • @TheCoolrocker031 He's been payed for doing that...

  • omg you're fucking annoying!

  • can it connect to iphoto?

  • Nerd...

  • you voice sound like a dying cat.

  • 1:57 hey d-d-d-d-dd oo u see it guyzzzz? do u see it!!??!?! ROFL

  • Wow 5 Minutes.. I guess it's the first step in wireless transfers, I think I'll wait until a newer model comes out before I drop my cords. Good video though

  • Okay, ive been watching your vids. for awhile now... and in every video i see those little dots and what not above your head... like on the shelf... what are they?

  • their just little LED lights... haha idk y but he loves them

  • A glimpse of the future?

  • eye-fi is Japanese product

well what do you know ? I am not surprised

  • Eye-Fi is proudly made in the USA. It is also sold in Japan (among other countries like Canada and the UK).

  • Can it be used to upload photos and videos to the desktop? Thanks.

  • What about uploading video's?

  • i love that the people on the screen are baggin him. lol

  • Very good review chris!

  • What kind of camera do you have???

  • lol "kinda neat isn't it?" then the screen goes blank :D

  • I read about this in Popular Science, pretty cool. But, 1-5 minutes, jeez.

  • Interesting.. VERY convenient! Wonder how Battery life is affected.

    Keep on YouTubin!

  • i really thought u were messing about, i had to check the date

  • Chuck Norris can see wireless wires.

  • LOL

  • thats amazing

  • 1-5 min for one picture. are you serious....

  • it's doesn't seem that good, but you don't have to wait 5 minutes for one picture. if you take 10 pictures it'll start popping up one after another after the 5 minutes. but this is the type of technology that is a great idea and needs to start somewhere.

  • it's on a little teeny SD card, and it's the first of it's kind ever. also, it isn't five minutes a picture i beleive, it just takes five minutes to start the upload.

  • what size card?

  • What camera is he using??

  • thats cool about how much does it cost

  • $94.50 in amazon

  • I need that totaly i always loos usb cabels

  • Whats the name of his screensaver?

  • the problems is by the time the eye fi has finished u can put the wire on and drag it on your desktop

  • WTF is that led thing on the background? Servers?

  • i think it's just for shits and giggles

  • its a clock

  • tix clocks they cost $50 a peice

  • I think it's the TIX LED clocks.

  • Servers? lol!?!?

    Nah its his Clock.

  • LED's i guess?

  • It's about time! That's all I gotta say!

  • Thanks Chris, I think you need to get over that problem you had in the video, get better..

    SignedAdam

  • i took exacly 100 seconds

  • At 94+$ Im going to stick with my 27$ 8 GB SDHC card. Also wouldn't that card drain a cameras battery faster? Unless the prices drops by a lot, im going to stick with regular cards and use a card reader to transfer my files.

  • Did somebody knows where I can find this screensaver?

  • @brunotolfo I have a blog post about them... bllymcgvrn123(dot)co(dot)nr

  • lol chris is going to second puberty! JK ^^

  • He, Chris I am just wondering what your working and how i can get the same job??????

Lord that is a rich ass kicking gnome!!!!

    ROFLMAO

  • Losing your voice Chris?

    Oh, nevermind, you were sick.

    Get well soon, Chris!

  • I'd rather connect the cable and take 30 seconds to upload the photos than wait 1-5 minutes.

  • DoubleCLICKfilms: I rather transfer pics with a card reader and keep my battery life for more pics lol.

  • cooolt!

  • " The doctor said I went viral." lol. Cuz like when something is REALLY REALLY popular you say it's gone viral, usually with internet videos.

  • *Claps*

  • 1 - 5 minutes is too much time, seriously, we really aren't advanced enough in technology to make it a quicker time? Come onnnnn

  • At a guess i'm thinking they're big, high quality, pictures. Try sending a 3+ mb picture over bluetooth, I'm pretty sure it'll tkae you more than a minute depending on your phone. Either way, a minute is faster than going through my box of wires trying to find the correct one, then waiting for vista to take forever to load them, then vista having very slow transfer times...

  • Cool but not crazy about it, seems like something that should come with it.

  • It's the way of the future. Cool

  • LOL How cute, the people in the chat said cheese as he took the monitor's pic. Seriously it's cute.

  • really cool. something HE would have. nifty but not quite worthy of "i want now".

    thanks chris.

  • fail

  • CIA SD card

  • I agree with MooseOfReason, however, I think that this would be handy if for example you took a last minute picture at your home, and wanted it up loaded to face book and had to leave to go to a meeting or something. you could take the pic, let eyefi upload it and then when you set the camera down you can jump in your car and go... otherwise, at this stage its too slow

  • Meh that's slow. I can take a pic, and upload like 50 pictures by the time that shit is doing 1 picture.

  • ...he is drink out of a flower vase lol

  • not bad, certainly handy

  • I would rather do it manually than wait one minute (or longer, according to Chris) for one photo to transfer over.

It's cool technology, though. I hope they work on advancing it. Until then, no thanks.

  • Woa! Me likey! May be a purchase when I buy my next digi cam (current is parents' and not basic SD card). Beats trying to keep the USB cord where you'll need to find it every time, or buying one of those SD/USB card adapters (unless you have a laptop)!

  • Hmmm, not sure how useful this would be. I like to edit, tag, etc. So I'd hate to upload every snap just because I can.

  • lol @ the chatroom vanishing.

  • Its way too slow. I have tried it in one of my older Nikon that use sd cards. its much faster to upload manually. whats the speed of the card? 266x or better?

  • i want that jacket

  • what a ripoff its $100 bucks, ill just plug it in to a usb cord and upload it manually

  • I think I seen the eye fi on engadgetDOTcom but this is seriously the future. WIFI Memory cards. Transfer anything to anything (Cellphones,Cameras, TVs, PSP Whatever!). BRILLIANT!

  • what are those screensavers? :)

  • Mac screen savers sadly

  • love it too.. where can i get those?

  • sweet

  • This is old news. I've had this card for like a year

  • Comment removed

  • more better?

  • I have broken English do I not? :X i meant to say much better than his old camera

  • really appreciate there video mate, helps a lot! Thanks a ton

    -Andy

  • how would you get it to connect to your internet if your camera does not do anything.

  • Thats cool.

  • Yeah Chris but it takes 1-5 mins for a pic to load on your desktop? I'll stick with my memory card reader thank you.

  • Ah, I've always wondered about those, they always seemed silly to me. Nice!!

Thanks for sharing Chris, and get well soon :P

  • i heard of this tech SD card before about 12 months ago and your just telling us now?

  • that is such a sick set up dude

  • well hope you get better chris

  • you don't sound that well chris

  • Holy shit

they stick a wireless antena in that small thing

    WOW

  • that thing is sweet, unfortunately i cant get them in canada, there must be a reason why (patent issue maybe?) i emailed them out of curiosity i said straight out in my email "do you intend to sell these in canada soon?" and i got a reply saying they dont support them in canada since they dont sell them here, sheesh!

  • never mind, i guess i shouldve kept tabs on the site, blacks camera apparently sells them

  • ebay for us Canadians :P

  • thats pretty neat.

  • MY sister broke my digital camera today

  • Chris your voice is modulating :(

  • yeah. hes sick. better not be swine flu!

  • They have that with iPhoto.

  • You sound much more geeky with that cold =D

  • Not bad

  • Love it!

  • mmmmmmmm YUMMY!!!!

  • that's awesome

  • Why is the vid quality low?

  • Processing

  • Because it was just uploaded.

  • wait a while video is probably newly uploaded so it needs to process

  • The video is still processing.

  • Ah I didn't know that. Thanks for the info everyone.

  • cool

  • Yay! I am in the chatroom of this video!

  • Looks nice, but wouldn't a ton of "mis-takes" be uploaded as well? it seems like it would create alot of clutter

  • u tell it to upload it -.- dont want any of them dirty pics going up or in ur case dirty kiddy pics

  • could it be adapted to the psp go?

  • #67 WOOT!

  • nice

  • great video man

  • first, unless second
