Hataz, he's trying to be kitschy, that's the whole point of the ad campaigns ever since Burger King's agency switch in about '97.  Rucker loves heartland music of all sorts and worked it into his style, but only with his country solo career are people seeing it come to the fore.

But even then he was loaded (no matter the jokes, Hootie was pretty damn big) and those guys seem like the type that invested their profits in solid investments instead of the normal hookers and blow. I think he did this as a goof. Hey he's Hootie, why not?
