  • HP

  • WTF this is cool

  • would it work if i touched it with my penis?

  • What purpose of making touch Media Center?! All pleasure is to have Remote Control! EG Eyes (fantastik and cool), IR, Wi-fi, Bluetooth etc

  • @gesz90 @WizPcKid I got it!!! Thx

  • Prefiro o mouse..

  • I'll stick with the remote control.

  • win 7 ultimate for 40$ only

  • lol

  • Wonderful

  • That scrolling was already in Media Center BEFORE iPhone lol

  • fuck u iphone yunger than that bitch

  • ... yes but which is cheaper... some people cant afford the 'rich things'. sure apple is better than vaio, for the price,, but for somethings for the price of an mac, you could get a way better acer or sumtin...

  • have u bought a mac lately? i have 3. they are not that much more then anything else.

  • Front Row was released October 2005 and didn't support a TV tuner until March 2007.

Windows MCE was introduced in 2002 and included in XP in August 2004. It supported TV (plus guide, radio, DVDs, images, music, surround sound, etc.) from the start. Dell and HP has MCE PCs the moment MCE shipped.

Front Row was released well after MCE. It was ported from the iPod and stinks as a TV controller. It is buggy due to hardward support/issues. MCE kills it.

  • Sorry but your comment is so full of FAIL it's scary.

  • WINDOWS RULES!!!!!

  • no front row is crippled compared to this *expletive*

yes how about you try touch scrolling through your tv guide in front row on your mac -- oh oh, wait, you cant. no touch, no tv guide in front row.

  • I understand you comment is like 2 months old, but I can't help but answer you misconception. Front Row for OSX wasn't released until 2005. The First versions of Media Center for Windows was released in 2002. So who do you think released it first. Also Windows Media Center is better, just google it.

  • so what if it looks like iphone. its not like the iphone was the first product that used that kind of scrolling.

  • The Internet Speed in Singapore sucks. The ISP's bill you a fortune though. The internet in Singapore crawls. It really sucks!!! Better to buy a DVD and watch with this type of service from ISP's.

  • yeah see we aren't all filthy rich bastards!!

  • Can you put a recording video from the Tv down loaded to youtube from WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER.

  • Hi,

I have a tablet PC with windows 7.

But I can't control the media center like he does here.

When I use the touch in Media Center, in the main menu, some arrows appear (up/down/left/right) and I can't scroll like he does here. :(

    Anyone knows something about this?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    I have the same Problem.

    Can please somebody help?

    thanks

  • Obviously you didn't check the #1 requirement to use this; brain.

  • Obviously, you are a guy/girl that doesn't know what you are talking about....

Another day, a guy that works in a computer stores, told me that normaly the version of media center like on this movie are instaled only on the kind of computer like the new HP where every piece of harware is included inside the monitor case.

  • yeah!!!!

    i have the same problen

have you finded the driver for this???

  • touch screens are great when you first think about it...until the first time someone touches it after handling food or poking their nose. At least a keyboard doesn't smudge.

  • can you buy a touch screen and hook it up to a desktop or do u need a hole new computer that comes with a touch screen?

  • I have a windows 7 PC that I Built. I bought a touchscreen on EBAY look up ELO Touchscreen. The only downfall is that it is not multitouch :(. But it still works great surfing the internet and using media center.

  • @Mattruss666 Yes, you can just buy a touch enabled monitor to turn a regular pc or laptop into a touch enabled one.

  • Mac?, não boy, yes Windows !!!

  • Wow this works better than I anticipated it would. Now i just need to find out whats wrong with my 19" touch screen monitor so i can try this out.

  • I would probably never buy a touch screen but it is pretty cool to use.

  • Wow id like work on it ..... i waz workin on mac os x but it sucks , im not gonna back 4 it again, id rather work on microsoft products seems gr8

  • 4 shure, you seem to be a 24yo punk programmer that wants to work in MS after working in apple, shure.. but first remember, programming is more than "alert("Hello World"); "

    :_D

  • u wrong da right ..MS has eaten apple long time ago..Mr Alert

  • Does it work on any new HP laptops as well. i mean to say does it require new hardware to touch or its working with old hardware with full features of touch systems

  • It works not only with HP laptops but with many other Tablet PC's and Touch Monitors. At least to the extent of my knowledge. My mates installed Windows 7 (think beta) and it works like a charm. It all demends on how sensetive your touch screen is, and if it needs a stylus or the Finger Touch experience.

  • interesting! but .. HP Touch Smart is?

  • Stay away from hp, they will fuck you on anything warranty related ...like they did me. Three computers and a new monitor down the drain,, they make garbage. Take my advice BUILD YOUR OWN CPU!

  • a cpu is a processor

  • I agree HP is a cheap build...but the cpu and all hardware related isnt bad....I have a laptop and they repaired it all 4 times...but only once was it the hardware...

But I do build my own computers...and thats the best way to go

but I bought a laptop cause I didn't want to mess with custom laptops...

  • HP = Compaq - not a cheap build, they are actually very good value for money, cheaper builds to HP/Compaq would be Acer/Advent/Phillips

Even packard bell does less work than HP/Compaq when building thier machines, even so - the components inside are all the same anyway - HDD Maxtor/seagate gfx - ATI/Nvidia etc so this is what you really need to know before you jump the gun, anyone who refers to a computer as a CPU should not be listened too anyway as they obviously are not PC literate.

  • Agreed.

Best bet for those that can't build their own PCs.... Ebay.

  • Thumbs up for that. HP always gives best in durability and whats under the hood. Good explenation.

  • wow looks like use much ram and video

  • cool Video A+++++++++++++++++++++++++

  • that looks pretty cool but very expensive

  • This computer is HP Touchsmart ?

  • yes he says that ! 0:12

  • @staticfive

This isn't the final version, and the guy had a difficult time. Look at how he was standing. He was trying t give everyone a great view of how media Center works, but he couldn't see the moniter well from that angle. Give him more credit.

  • they don't make PCs... They make Operating System software...

  • @gesz90 thats what people get mixed up about, when people say windows is slow, its not windows thats slow its the computer not the softweare or OS

  • all i have to say is that no matter what microsoft does mac osx and apple people arent gana like it lol.Soooo what im saying is that no one cares what you think because your not of the cumunity. Nice video btw may i excuse those fuck faces down below me that dont know what there talking about :)

  • Oh my fucking god... 90% of the time that he touched it, it registered a gesture instead of a touch... that's a fucking AWFUL example of that system. Granted, the tool was using his fingernail instead of his finger, but even when he tapped it at the very end it still fucked up

  • Jesus people. Relax. It SUPPORTS touch. That does not mean you'll no longer be able to use your remote or your mouse and keyboard with it. Jeez. Everytime someone sees a a demo of Windows 7's touch functionality, they always get prissy and assume they can only control it using their fingers. Get a grip. Just keep using you mouse and keyboard if you don't want to get fingerprints on your moniter.

  • totally agree

  • now ppl will be getting touch screen monitors

  • same

  • The title is misleading. No multi-touch is going on here.

  • btw nice video I'm only criticizing the windows system on show not this video.

  • Like all fancy technology, eventually it'll go down in price. (That said I'm still using an old CRT)

  • Or you could just, I dunno, just get the operating system and use a remote like all the other versions of media centre. They aren't forcing you to use only new features.
