Bad idea...very bad idea. Unless the child is 100% willing, there is great potential for harm in the future concerning said child's willingness to continue playing. Typically, it is just a parent pushing too hard, expecting another Mozart. Feel free to disagree, but I've seen great misfortune in the field where a child with great potential was pushed too great early on, and then it becomes extremely difficult to interest them again in music.
