I think the arrangement is by far the most accurate I've seen to the original, and very befitting of the vocal talents involved. My only beef? I didn't like the fact that an a'cappella performance was amplified. I feel as though a certain mysticism was lost this way, and this song certainly is "mystic", or so originally portrayed. 4/5 easily.
first off i would like to say that this is arguably the best arrangement and performance of this song by a choral group on youtube.
I would agree that if you were to compare this to the original recording of Imogen Heap then yes you would hear "a lot of mistakes" but the thing is she used a vocoder for her harmonies. Because of this the song is very difficult to recreate vocally and emotionally.
Traditional technique and such was lacking but mostly in vowel production.
this is so sweet! this is what a bunch of my friends are planning on doing for our schools spring variety show....i cant wait to see how its gonna turn out! this version is awesome!! :D
This is really great, guys. I also like the body movements. It adds a completely different level and sets your performance above others...at least that's how I see it.
Hey, pretty nice! Its a awesome song but... Ive noticed many mistakes.. There is at least two voices standing out and one guy is singing through his nose..and at times there is too much song where it sounds like shouting. Being a small group, the MAIN key is to blend. In Fort Collins, The Rocky Mountain High School jazz choir "Spotlight" sung this song and they blend like once voice, its unbelievably amazing! If you work on that, you guys will sound pure. Just thought I'd give a tip
Actually, The Rocky Mountain High School jazz choir "Spotlight" performed this song to perfection. I believe they will have the recording up on there myspace soon.
Omg, you guys were my favorite act. It sounded so amazing. I think you did it better than Imogen Heap. I hope you're planning on doing something this year :D
im giving your response a thumb up cause its right on the spot, and the lamer that gave it a thumb down, sod off, seriously, mcrkid is just being a critic and he has the right to do so, i totally agree with him.

Ouch... A lot of mistakes, but then again, it's a terribly difficult song.
Besides the subtle errors, you guys did this absolutely wonderfully. It's beautiful, and honest, and everything a good cover should be.

"a lot of mistakes" isn't exactly constructive...he could have, say, given an example...
