i am just learning piano and will tackle this due to your excellent explanation..

ps..have you seen there video 'scotch mist' here on youtube?..

    many many thanks...

  • @lionsteve29

Yeah I've watched it, it's quite interesting =D I like it.

I'm glad you liked my tutorial :)

  • @Pianticella Good tutorial, thank you very much. Although, not like I'm any piano expert or anything, but I know that Thom Yorke plays this song with the right sustain pedal of the piano on (at least on the IN/ RAINBOWS version). Thanks a ton for the tutorial! Otherwise, the song will have kind of harsh transitions, if you know what I mean.

  • I love this song! You need to do more tutorials! (: I learn a lot easier when people say what notes you're playing rather than reading sheet music. Sheet music confuses me :P

  • thanks sooooo much!!

  • is it difficult?

  • @kx85rider79

    Not really, no :)

  • Thanks for this! I can say videotape was the first song I learnt now :]

  • YEAH I"VE GOT A PEARL RIVER AS WELL! YEAHH!!!!

    nice video 5*

  • This song is amazing. It's one of my favorites, and you did an excellent job of slowing it down. I can play it now. Thanks! : )

  • Thanks :)

I'm glad I could help you!

  • thank you, this is probably the best tutorial for this song,

i like how you included the interlude

  • Thank you so much for the compliment =))

I'm glad you liked the video..

If you have requests message me =)

  • Thank you so much... this helped a lot

  • nice tutorial :)

i just had a question about whether or not the way to play it is staccato or legato? do you have tips on how to get the sound thom does? thanks!

  • I usually play it stacatto with the help of the pedal.

Playing it legato makes it sound heavy and stacatto doesn't sound right so playing it stacatto with a little pedal support makes it sound pretty close to Thoms =)

  • has anyone noticed that "videotape" and "like spinning plates" the live version uses the same notes on the right hand and the left??

  • I did =) The first time I played "Like Spinning Plates" I realised that..

  • thank you soooo much i love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for the lesson :) is very good <3

  • Veery good tutorial...helps very much...and I love your acent... :D

I don't speak Spanish =D I'm learning French at the moment, after I will learn Spanish =D

    I'm pretty young =)

  • Thank you so much for making such an awesome tutorial! I really appreciate how you go through everything slowly and the camera angle is nice. I don't know how many people manage to post a crappy tutorial vid, thank god I found you!

  • Thanks for watching. I'll make more videos soon hopefully, I'm pretty busy lately.. But more vids will come ;):)

  • Would you mind showing us a tutorial of the intro from the original live versions.. purrrlease?

  • yeaahh sail to the moon please!! you are amazing

  • I've been terribly busy but I'l make the videos I promised as soon as possible =)

  • Thanks for filming this, especially for the scales in the middle and the outro (which, as a beginner, I probably would have gotten wrong had I tried to figure it out myself).

  • Thank you for the nice comment :)

  • Thank you

  • Wow, thanks a lot for this. This is really helpful!

  • I have no problem with the watch but seriously please tune that piano, good tutorial though its the first song I've learned on keys next to the Pokemon theme. :P

  • my piano is tuned but my camera has low quality so it distorts the sound.

And I always take off my watch when I'm actually playing but I forgot it that day. If you're such an expert post a video response

  • bitch

  • was that "bitch" to me or to haplocanthesaur?

  • haha, to haplocanthesaur, your video helped me : )

  • oh :) ok then

    I'm glad I could help =)

  • Thank you everyone for these nice comments :)

  • this is a good tutorial! :) can i request for paranoid android, sail to the moon, and pyramid song tutorials? they have really good piano in those.

  • A lot of people are asking for Paranoid Android but it's complex so that would take some more time. I'm going to make Everything in it's right place and then Sail to the Moon =)

  • You are incredible thank you so very much!

  • Thanks for this, helped alot =)

  • is there any chance you could do a tutorial for idioteque/karma police and perhaps street spirit =/

    thanks! =)

  • I'm have my mid-terms now. They will be over next wednesday. After that I'm going to make the last video of Life in a Glass House. After that I'll make Karma Police =)

  • you should tune ur piano otherwise gr8 :) thanks allot

  • Thanks for watching :) Do you have a request?

My piano is tuned but my camera sucks.. It's distorting the sound. I'm going to get a new one soon =)

  • ok its probebly that + my computers speakers :)

  • ya life in glass house , love it ok

  • The first part of Life in a Glass house is up today =)

  • i'd like for you to make more tutorials on other radiohead songs

  • Do you want any song in particular?

I'm going to make Like Spinning Plates soon. And then maybe Karma Police

  • any chance of working out paranoid android???

  • I'm trying to but it's a complicated song. There's a tutorial of Matt Cross, his is the best one I've seen on youtube. If I figure it out, I'll post a video of it too.

  • well spinning plates has already been done, and pretty correctlyloll, karma police would be really sweet, and I Want None of This , would be nice :)

  • I'm going to make Life in a Glass House. Then I'll make Karma Police =)

I recommend laservius' version of Like Spinning Plates. His is the best (the only correct version)

  • ya thats the version i took

  • Very useful, thank you^^ Now I know the chords I can improvise a bit while I play it :P

  • I appreciate you watching =)

That's exactly what I do =) I always play different versions.
