By pressure and friction. All energy owes it's origins to the 4 fundamental forces- of which gravity and magnetism are the easiest to observe and harness. It's not getting something from nothing- it's using the forces already present. Remember, the 2nd law of thermodynamics refers to closed systems only.

But that is not something from nothing.

Same way, you can harvest the energy of steel ball accelerating toward a magnet. But nothing more than its potential energy.

And what do you mean by magnetism is "stronger" than gravity? Gravity of earth is so "strong" it can defied by only huge rockets. And its magnetic field can only turn compass.

Think about it- the gravity of an entire planet is weaker than the magnetic pull of your fridge magnet.Thus why it can lift things. Gravity is weak but universal, magnetism is strong but local. And no, you can't get something from nothing- at least, not at anything but the quantum level. But an open system using the 4 fundamental forces will always have energy.

I don't need to come up with a better design that works because I already know for certain that a permanent magnet motor is physically impossible and can NOT work. Without a power source (and magnets are NOT a power source) a motor of this type can not work. All the Free Energy quacks would have you believe otherwise.
