@shattergard - The ad for it on youtube seems promising but I think a cheaper solution would be to spend $10 on a post to go under a door knob so it won't open.
What if someone wanted to use the mini-remotes to arm the alarm as they leave, but someone is still inside? Why can only the big remote "home arm" the system? That right there, is why I won't buy it!!!
I think you are missing the point, that if multiple people live in the house, there aren't mutiple full-function remotes. Its a very bad design, and has no more than a "scare" value when it comes to security. There are many other cheap wireless alarm systems online, that are real alarm systems, with keypads and everything, and properly working remotes.
@PowerSports420 I totally agree, this X10 alarm is not one i would even consider purchasing. I was just saying that this alarm system COULD be armed with the big remote. This system is atypical to all wireless alarm systems. I couldnt agree more.
My security system is much simpler and more efficient. I call it:
No More Burglar!
The system uses a savage dog, to attack and restrain the unfortunate and a bat, to severly pummel the restrained unfortunate.
All this can be yours with a short trip to the dog shelter. Simply select the biggest meanest dog in the shelter, take it home and wait for an unfortunate to break in, then let the dog go to work until there is...No More Burglar!
Yes, YOU TOO can be faced with a civil suit when your animal escapes and kills a kid in the neighborhood! Call now, and we'll include a rabies kit FREE OF CHARGE! Now make SURE your dog does as much damage as it can possibly do, by infecting it with rabies purposefully!
@Jlspencer8 - That's what I was thinking. I just bought one of these systems today and from the looks of it the thing works the same way except you can set it to auto-dial numbers that you choose. It's a cheaper DIY alternative.
The only catch I see so far is that I live at a four building residence - meaning that the 100ft line of sight that the sensors have might not be enough to cover everything....
I'll just have to wait and see - at any rate though it's better than ADT or Broadview.
Check the OnGARD Security Door Brace at amazon. This device stops a intruder in their tracks. And it works :)

@PowerSports420 well if someone was inside the house already, just have them use the big remote to 'home arm'
