im jewish and black. not a convert, but born as so. i have no issue with the children of islam. they are a tough strong commited people. from history initiate, there has always been war instigators, and just plain bullyboys in that area. according to all three books. the nobleQa'ran-the holy Bible-and the venerated Torah .this stuff is supposed to happen. it cannot be avoided. we should look else where then to feeble humans, and sword rattlers to last at least a whilt longer
I am a Christian. I know many Muslims and I have found them to be kind, thoughtful folks. This song depicts their plight, as it does many who are victimized. I love America, where we are supposed to have freedom of religion and assembly...among other rights. We need to share the good things with all other Americans whether they be Christians, Muslims or WHATEVER.
@VelvetRae I just can not figure out how to comment at You Tube anymore
I likewise know many Muslims, tho' not a Chrisitan or any religion ~ many act in a more Christian manner than many Christians.
This has been a fav inspirational tune ever since I first heard it ~ Impressions a fav group back then ~ I turned to it when that 'great big stone' was ahead of me ~ I enjoyed reading this ~
this is a christian song, it doesn't fit your pictures at all. i've never heard muslims singing strength, hope and joy in the same tune in such a great way, and yet there are many muslim folks where i live, many more than in california.
Respect to all freedom fighters!

@X7mosquito7X This was an anthem for all Black Americans, no matter what religion. It was a civil rights anthem.
