JigsawCaptain: I agree about Linda's talent and how relatively subdued she is here, but I'd look at the positive.  She harmonizes beautifully, and with great control, especially in some tricky passages. And she is, as you say, gracious in playing the "lesser" role. As well as Clay does here, he probably knew she added a lot to the number.

Thr song is too low, Linda has the best chops (voice) in the industry but she has to sing it in this terrible key. And obviously she gave him, graciously the money notes. And as far as her age goes Linda is so beautiful, I'd thank my lucky stars if she'd give me a glance. Age is a state of body and mind and hers outranks his. Voice too. Clay has a great voice, Linda had a towering talent with the voice of an angel. Oh and since Clay is gay what difference would Linda's age make?

Wonderful duet. Clay definitely overshadows Linda in this song though. He's got such a perfect voice.

@halaluani That's my point exactly -- there is nothing more to this song (and I don't mean "sex") other than great vocals (and they are great -- I'm one of Linda's biggest fans). However, I think there had to be a much better choice for them than this (musically and performance). But what do I know? I'm just an actor/singer who is paid to/required to do more than just sing high notes.

I have been a LE fan for something like 10 years and absolutely love her. I also think CA is an extremely talented individual. However . . .

IMO, these two voices do not at all blend well together. The "safe" arrangement allows for no vocal bravura - other than the "held out" notes in avery comfortable vocal range . . . Boring when it could have been something more memorable. Just my 2 cents.

I mean, you get into personal taste issues, she is my favorite too, but "better" than Bocelli, "better" than a dozen others either of us could name? Nah, it is better to say "favorite" I think.
