Also shows how being a vigilante/superhero is not anything people should be trying. it shows that we are not invincible, not perfect, and life is not like a movie; just because you did something heroic doesn't mean you always get rewarded in the ways you want. but sometimes that is better than you expect.

I'm not saying Super purposefully ripped off Defendor or the other way around, but they do basically have the same story. Ellen Page is SO hot in this! I mean, in real life, she's scrawny as hell and has chicken legs, and I wouldn't give her a second look, but her character in this was really sexy! I just saw this and for the most part, it is not Kick Ass. I know. From the looks of it, it looks liek "Kick Ass meets Juno" but two things. One, this movie in all likelyness was filmed before Kick Ass because Rainn Wilson looks a lot fatter here than he does on The Office. And two, the movie is kinda dark, really. Much more than Kick Ass. I mean, they seriously fucking kill people in this!

This is brilliant Ellen Page and Rainn Wilson have great chemistry and the film is at its best when those two are together. Brilliantly entertaining. Its not one of the best films I've ever seen like City Lights, Magnolia, Rear Window and There Will Be Blood but its already one of my favourites alongside, yes, Kick Ass. Think I slightly prefer Kick Ass just because Liv Tyler is dreadful. I can't stand having to watch her 'act'.

I don't care what anyone says, I thought this movie was great. There aren't a lot of films that can send you on a rollercoaster of emotions like this one. If you are expecting a comedy then you will probably be disappointed. While there are some funny parts, this movie has so much more to offer. That's just my opinion, but if you have any interest in this movie you should at least give it a fair chance.
