how come sega has to ,in every game with an upbeat theme, put an orchastral version in place of seperate final boss music? EX: sonic colors and sonic unleashed( those are the ones i looked into further)
The problem is that Sega is trying to listen to the fans. The fanbase is one of the most divided, so trying to geall of the people happy by mixing everything isn't going to work. They got it to work in Generations, but its other try, Unleashed, didn't turn out so well.

I also love a detailed story(Sonic 06's for example) and let's not forget Sonic Unleashed had one of the most amazing openings to date.

Otherwise I think sonic's been doing just fine. Heroes was WAY too bright and happy for me. Shadow the Hedgehog was enjoyable to me, especially with the gun element.

@soldierkiller29 And the real reason 06 and Unleashed weren't as good as Colours and Generations was because Takashi Iizuka didn't have as much control over 06 and Unleashed as he did with Colours and Generations. And guess what? Sega did what it wanted with Colours, and that game turned out pretty good. What I meant was, with Takashi Iizuka aboard, if Sega stopped listening to the fans (at least the ones that complain about everything), chances are that the next Sonic game would do pretty well.

SEGA's really doing good with the Sonic games. Sonic Colors was GREAT. I was so proud of SEGA after playing the game and I wondered where else Sonic could go at that point. Then came Sonic Generations. I played it, and it made me cry, in a very, very good way.

It can easily happen in one year, if you combine each of the timespans of the 3d games, it adds up to two and a half weeks. A year has 52 weeks. One year is entirely possible. Not saying 5 years isn't, but I highly doubt that Eggman would wait that long to try and stop Sonic between each game.

@ArceusDX How can Unleashed take place in a week, if there are so MANY Werehog levels? and what about the old games? yeah, Sonic downed the Death Egg, traveled across 3 huge continents, and saved hundreds of animals in a few hours...and the way you put it, you seem to think every Sonic game happened right after the next one, and if you must know, Generations takes place 5 years after Colors, so if your theory is true, Sonic WOULD in fact be 20 in Generations,so even if your are right i still win

@Hademaster64tv failure, Generations took place barely a week after colours, after all, Eggman found the primordial time eater right after his defeat in colours, and it doesn;t take him long at all to turn it into a machine and start his plan in generations, also, Unleashed takes place in a week cause one continent in a game takes a day to complete (day and night levels), also, there would still be month gaps in between each game for eggman to build and create his machines.

@Hademaster64tv not to mention that there is a 3 year difference between Amy's age and Sonic's age. Sonic CD came out 2 years after Sonic 1, so even if Sonic was a baby in Sonic 1, your logic would still be flawed, as Amy wouldn't even be born in Sonic CD.

@Hademaster64tv And where is your proof that Sonic is 20? All we have is the Sonic Heroes manual, which says he is 15. It can easily happen in one year, if you combine each of the timespans of the 3d games, it adds up to two and a half weeks. A year has 52 weeks. One year is entirely possible. Not saying 5 years isn't, but I highly doubt that Eggman would wait that long to try and stop Sonic between each game.

I wasn't trying to start an argument, and I'm sure the other guy felt the same way, we were just having a discussion. Saying Sonic is 20 is speculative. Just because the games are 20 years old doesn't make the character 20, because, again, with that logic, Sonic would only be a baby in Sonic 1, which doesn't make sense at all.
