The third one regarding the trinity, I think you may need to search other sources as in some definitions and examples, Trinitarians do believe that Jesus and God are one and the same, so your assertion of lying on this one, you in fact are being misleading. the video clip that you showed was a big catalyst in my decision to stop attending meetings. i found it so jarring mentally. he i was sitting and watching the founder of the WBTS independently studying the bible without additional literature and yet discouraging his followers from doing the same. who decided he was "anointed"? after seeing that i could not shake the feeling that i was following what one man decided was true. it was very upsetting.

JW's do exactly that, study the bible with friends, family, strangers, or oneself constantly. JW share their own thoughts on scriptures weekly at meetings. JW's believe that ALL of collective Christianity will be destroyed by God Almighty, let's get that fact straight folks. This is not easy to explain. Why would Satan have bothered offering Jesus something that he already had and owned? Why did Jesus not lie at the very suggestion. It is clear from the passage Jesus was the temptation as REAL, and that Matthew the writer would have too. And so should WE!
The whole passage is very troublesome for Trinitarians. Please explain.

It is blatently clear to most Christians that the instruction from Jesus in Matthew 6:9,10 is to pray to "OUR FATHER in the heavens". It does NOT contain any instruction whatsoever for us to call him by his name as JEHOVAH is not featured in the actual prayer itself. If it is as important as JW's claim, then Jesus himself would have used it but he didn't!.

One of there misconceptions is there is no such thing as a bible study its a watchtower study. And only the governing body can understand the bible. This is why they go wrong in so many places its a man led organisation.
@sbgrox11 - The bible is quite clear: reading the bible is the way to understanding + prayer and a right attitude, and "calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ"--- that is salvation. An org does not dispense it. An org of some sort is probably necessary to do charitable works and fellowship. JWs have proven to be false prophets a 100X over. The bible false prophet is only 1 instance of prophecy in-error. JWs burn the old books so you can't read for yourself unless you find them from EBay.
As an ex-JW I can testify that yes, anybody pursuing independent study within the Jehovah's Witnesses would be quickly expelled--- either by disfellowshipping, disassociation, or the unofficial gossip network which is even MORE devestating than either of those options.
As for the Trinity, it's a doctrine added after the origin of Christianity and the Apostles.

Many were trying to denounce Christ's deity from the beginning. It was basically a restatement of the concept already found in Scripture. So many scrips that refer to JESUS as God. And never any as an angel (Michael).

While there are some that do not allow that it is the minority view and those churches are often troubled in other areas as well and should be abandoned altogether by the man or woman of God.

The third one regarding the trinity, I think you may need to search other sources as in some definitions and examples, Trinitarians do believe that Jesus and God are one and the same, so your assertion of lying on this one, you in fact are being misleading. the video clip that you showed was a big catalyst in my decision to stop attending meetings. i found it so jarring mentally. he i was sitting and watching the founder of the WBTS independently studying the bible without additional literature and yet discouraging his followers from doing the same. who decided he was "anointed"? after seeing that i could not shake the feeling that i was following what one man decided was true. it was very upsetting.

JW's do exactly that, study the bible with friends, family, strangers, or oneself constantly. JW share their own thoughts on scriptures weekly at meetings. I watched that same documentary not too long ago. You failed to mention C.T. Russell had no intentions of starting a new religion. He took his findings to many religious leaders 1st. There were many at the time searching for God. 1 of the largest religious movement in modern history. He was not after fame n glory.

This is talking about those who are very much alive (but maybe could be described as spiritually dead) and their GNASHING is their torment.
To us JWs we see that GNASHING is present in all these ill-tempered and antagonistic videos - they just can't stand that JWs make the claim that they are "Sons of the Kingdom" and what that entails.

Neither do I believe in false prophecies that when not fulfilled are explained away as "more light" is given.There is SOMETHING! But I guess that no amount of biblical reasoning works well with JWs because critical thinking and independent study are discouraged.

Can you see an image? Did people SEE a VISIBLE Jesus? Sure. So he was something VISIBLE to humans.
But Paul said an image of what? That of an INVISIBLE God.

The Catholics have "priests" and "fathers" - yet we know that Jesus never annointed a priesthood on earth. Indeed Paul said:
"for this cause he is [Jesus] not ashamed to call them “brothers,” as he says: “I will declare your name to my brothers."
Even Peter was never addressed as priest, neither was Paul.

The parallel of Mat 4:1-10 is Luke 4
Here in the temptation of Christ by Satan it reveals something truly disturbing:
"So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time; and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it."
This MUST be explained, please. What did Satan mean "because it has been delivered to me" and he could GIVE it to Jesus ?

One has to ask the question after reading Mat 4:1-10...
IF Jesus was God, in what way was Satan tempting Jesus a real temptation?
This is not easy to explain. Why would Satan have bothered offering Jesus something that he already had and owned? Why did Jesus not lie at the very suggestion. It is clear from the passage Jesus was the temptation as REAL, and that Matthew the writer would have too. And so should WE!
The whole passage is very troublesome for Trinitarians. Please explain.

They all 3 are one. I say how can 3=1? Three persons cannot mean one person. Either they are 3, or only 1. Why is the holy spirit called, 'the',as if it's a thing? It doesn't have a personal name like Jehovah or Jesus, but is 'the'.The Son prayed to the Father.

It is blatently clear to most Christians that the instruction from Jesus in Matthew 6:9,10 is to pray to "OUR FATHER in the heavens". It does NOT contain any instruction whatsoever for us to call him by his name as JEHOVAH is not featured in the actual prayer itself. If it is as important as JW's claim, then Jesus himself would have used it but he didn't!.

Acts 7 vs 59 NWT "And they went on casting stones at Stephen as he made appeal and said: "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit". Once again, a clear example of a prayer being directed to the Lord Jesus Christ himself. Considering that JW's do not worship Jesus directly, how do you explain this?

How I FEEL about Jesus is not something you could gauge, and any words I use may still fall short.
But what I can say is this: Early Christians felt they had a relationship with Jesus, and Jehovah's Witnesses get that. You on the other want to limit that, like pulling on a hand brake. That is why you are misquoting scripture (from our point of view, granted) that cause me no problem.
So where is the short-coming? In my heart none!

@sbgrox11 - The bible is quite clear: reading the bible is the way to understanding + prayer and a right attitude, and "calling upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ"--- that is salvation. An org does not dispense it. An org of some sort is probably necessary to do charitable works and fellowship. JWs have proven to be false prophets a 100X over. The bible false prophet is only 1 instance of prophecy in-error. JWs burn the old books so you can't read for yourself unless you find them from EBay.

As an ex-JW I can testify that yes, anybody pursuing independent study within the Jehovah's Witnesses would be quickly expelled--- either by disfellowshipping, disassociation, or the unofficial gossip network which is even MORE devestating than either of those options.
As for the Trinity, it's a doctrine added after the origin of Christianity and the Apostles.

@Grrraig The TRINITY is not a doctrine added after the origin of Christianity, but it was just re-confirmed by the church council because many other false teachings about Jesus were cropping as soon as Jesus died. Many were trying to denounce Christ's deity from the beginning. It was basically a restatement of the concept already found in Scripture. So many scrips that refer to JESUS as God. And never any as an angel (Michael).

Trinity: a spurious doctrine, not a salvation issue either way. The message is "Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved." How Jesus is in "union" with Yahweh the Father is up for debate and OPTIONAL. Any condemnation either way is spurious. But I have never been able to view God as 3 in 1. Yeshua is NOT Michael.

JW org has falsely prophesied more than a dozen times. The bible formula for what a false prophet is only requires ONE instance of false prophecy. For this reason the prophets would not speak unless certain of their message. JW sect is fraud, but they order all old books burned so you have to buy from outside sources to find your own past.

While there are some that do not allow that it is the minority view and those churches are often troubled in other areas as well and should be abandoned altogether by the man or woman of God.

The human built organizations, from the Catholics on down to the Protestants are all social orders designed to usurp Jesus' mediation. I don't think you offer very much. @afterraincomessun - It seem historical fact that Jesus was crucified. The Romans used a cross-shaped upright "telephone pole" to crucify people. There are thousands of instances of this in history outside the bible. The Assyrians used an upright pole or stake. Using the cross as an object of veneration is idolatry. But it is mentioned several times in New Testament as something representing Christ's message.

The New Testament does not describe the shape of the instrument, but it does refer to a tree, which would be in any of these forms. I have never been a JW so you are completely wrong in what you say. However Russel was "ex-Christendom." So therefor anything he said about Christendom should have been ignored and was all lies according to your logic.... correct?

@sbgrox11 walter martin disagreed with the JW doctrines wholeheartedly...once again. this is false information you are including in these comments and it needs to be corrected. i have several books by walter martin...he examined the teachings of many cults...and he constantly fought to defend the TRUE CHRISTIAN faith from organizations such as the WTBTS which were founded by some very sincerely wrong individuals.

@afterraincomessun why do YOU reject the TRUTH so much. JESUS is the TRUTH...John 14:6. GOD'S WORD IS TRUTH - The BIBLE is all I need & my brothers & sisters who believe in the GOD OF THE BIBLE. THat is the TRUTH. Not your ever-changing truth as found in the man-made organization called the WTBTS. Where is it in Scripture that the Watchtower would replace God's word & speak for God. Please do not use the parable (which is only an illustration, not a prophecy) of the faithful servant. Rom. 10:9

I would like to note that in the JW video u inserted here the comment was made that the word "Trinity" is not in the Bible. However, the concept is THERE and the BIble does teach that God is triune. Not one person BUT 1 God revealed in 3 Persons. - Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
I would like to pose this question for JW's ...WHERE IN THE BIBLE IS THE WORD WATCHTOWER ORGANIZATION?
